Where Is Humanity In The Universe Heading To -self Destruction

Suppose years into the future humans can predict end of time.?

I try not to get into the whole end of the world stuff. I do believe that we should all be prepared for a war or a natural disaster. I believe that people will be involved in screwing up our world, but not the ending the whole world. In the event we would have to flee our home we know exactly what we are taking, and it what order it needs to be grabbed in case we are limited on time and where we plan to try and get to. "For many centuries, people have been predicting the year, the month and sometimes the day when: A violent and sudden end would terminate all life on earth; Major social and political upheavals would occur around the world; The war of Armageddon would take place in the Middle East; God would pour horrendous wrath on most of humanity; and/or Christ would return in what is referred to as the second coming. The prophesiers have almost always predicted that these horrendous events would happen in their own immediate future. All of these predictions share one factor: none have ever come true. Still more end events are predicted for precise dates our future. Some people in North America devoutly believe that at least some of these events will happen in their lifetime. Others expect that they will happen at some time in the far future. They note that such events have not happened in the 19 or so centuries since the Bible was completed, and so they don't expect them in this century. Many of the public disagree, and does not expect any more that the usual complement of natural disasters in the future, until, of course, the next big asteroid hits." If the end of the world ever comes and no one will survive there is nothing you can do, so why worry about it?

Are we on an unavoidable track to the destruction of the earth?

The Earth as a planet will survive just as it survived many other catastrophic events in the past.

However humanity is likely a transitory species that is unlikely to last more than a few hundred thousand years in total. This is a miniscule time compared to the billions of years that the Earth has been and will be in existence.

More to the point, the industrial civilisation that we take for granted, and which has only been around for about a century, and which depends entirely on easy cheap oil is likely already heading for the wastebasket of history. The process will be gradual at first with lots of deniers. How steep and deep the decline then becomes depends on many unpredictable factors, but I don't expect it to be pretty. Ultimately industrial civilisation is destined to become no more than a half inch of sooty radioactive sediment deep within the many hundreds of metres of rock that represent the geological record.

Think of the billions of years that the Earth existed before hamanity arrived. Then think of the billion years that the Earth will exist after we have gone.

Ponder that and try to imagine what could have been.

Cheers!

Are we heading towards the right destination not only individually but also as a nation or human being on this planet? Ask to your heart? Not the eyes.?

I prefer to answer in 4 ways-......1)Yes you are right. We are heading towards destruction definitely. As you said all the mishaps are happening and we either work hard to reverse it or try to find another planet for temporary safety(Not permanent, because man would do the same there too, after a particular period of time).2)Nature is the ultimate-None not even man is above nature,if he tries to go above it(Which I don't know if he has or not),she'll punish him respectively.Nature might already have begun man's rectification. If not yet, when the time comes, she'll and just when things might have gotten out of hand,Mother Nature to the rescue-she comes and saves us(Not just humans, but also all organisms and abiotic components too)3)If such a destruction to Earth happens as you said,I'd partially say "Let it happen."Man deserves to be punished.Let his destruction happen. If we are given another opportunity, there is only a slim chance that he'll learn from his mistakes. So let him be gone:So that at least a problem of the universe is solved.Oh!And don't worry.....Life would yet be present........somewhere in the universe........This thoughts would be my prominent as of the moment......also this.......4)Trust in God!!!Pray to him!!!Pray for him to survive us!!!P.S-Being a man myself, and a lover of life-I would recommend either 2 or 3,or both 1 and 4 or both 3 and 4.It's my opinion.Yours might differ.Hope I helped you.By the way, nice question

Could the end of the universe have already happened?

Nice thought experiment.Let's consider the following kind of event. While we sit here thinking of this extinction event, a long time ago something happened. As some scientist already think, the multiverse is true. And somewhere out there another universe came into being, expanding just as fast as our own universe. The 'edges' collide and unfortunately the 'alien' universe has characteristics that push this edge right into our universe. We would never see it coming. It's racing towards us with the speed of light, right 'behind' the photons we see emerging from the cosmic background radiation. If it's heading right towards us we won't even notice it hit us. We just would not be here anymore. No more body, feeling or thinking. All gone in an instant. This will not be like what they show you in the movies. There you see a huge wall of flames moving towards you. In this case of an 'invading' universe there is a huge 'wall' that moves at light speed.  You say: we wouldn't know anything about it and that's true. We would know nothing about it. And the moment it hits us (light speed, we won't even notice) the 'I' that is present to notice it is gone.We would literally know nothing about it and never be able to know about it.Probable? No. Possible? Yes.But then, we can also safely assume that the universe comes to an end. Either the universe will expand till all there is left is matter slightly above absolute zero. Or it will contract and literally burn up in this process. The moment it started expanding the final fate was already set. In this respect the end of the universe already happened, just like the death flower is already present in the living one.But we should not forget. While the end already is present we don't experience it, yet. And that's what is important. Right now we have the ability to do something, to act, to think, to make the world a better place. And we don't have a long time to do this. The end already happened in our individual lives. Our individual live last some 100 years at most. That's a lot quicker than the end of the universe. What will you do with your remaining time?

Does religion bring out the worst in people?

Personally, I believe it can bring out both the best and the worst in people. So why am I asking this question? To get your opinions, and to make you think. One of those questions that's not really a question...?
This section makes me sad because it seems so full of hatred and viciousness. I think it's the meanest section of Answers I've been to. Why?
In my lifetime, there seems to have been a rise in religious intolerance and rigidity all across the world. Why? And where are we heading with it? Is it going to destroy us?
Way to go, humanity! Made extinct through warring about God! Sorry for the cynicism, but ow!!! seeing all this is painful!

The End Of Humanity~How It Will Happen?

one cannot answer the question "If God is the Creator, then who created the Creator?" simply because God is the beginning of everything. There's no one who created Him and nothing ever existed before Him. "before Him" did not even exist at all.

and God is not there nor did he send His Son Jesus Christ to necessarily fix this world and make it a better place. No, that's not just it.

He sent Jesus to save humanity from eternal punishment, which is Hell, and which is true. He sent us Jesus to offer us the gift of eternal salvation

well then, "how do you know there is a God?"

okay then. look at your computer. did it build itself on its own or magically appear at your desk or on the place where you bought it?

No, manufacturers create the parts and people assemble them to create a personal computer.

next, look at your house. did trees just cut themselves into pieces of wood and assembled themselves into a house?

No, people cut those trees and cut them and nailed them to each other to erect your house.

well then, look at the world. the universe. did it just form out of atoms that exploded millions of years ago? where did that atom even come from? how can it explode without any force that would make it do so?

No, there are people that assembled your computer and erected your house. then there has to be a God that created the universe and life.

even without the Bible one can prove that God exists through reasoning.

do you have an open mind? i suggest that you please watch this video then: http://www.wayofthemaster.com/evolution.shtml

also, please go through this: http://www.wayofthemaster.com/goodperson.shtml it may not be what you think, so please finish it before you say "oh this is one of those Christian hypocrites' propaganda to bring men into their religion."

i dont even call it a religion. being saved by Jesus is not a religion. religion is just a set of dogmas and traditions, which you can see in today's world religions, including fake and hypocritical Christianity.

Is the tragedy of the commons inevitable among humans?

Game Theory quite nicely models interaction between players but at times people do find it difficult to find synchronisation between real world thinking/beliefs and that assumed in Game Theory. Such a problem can be seen in the Mixed Strategy Equilibrium, which does seem counter-intuitive and not so obvious in many conditions. The Tragedy of Commons as the name suggests is a real tragedy as long as the players keep caring for their own payoffs and not the overall good. The Pareto-Optimal outcome is hard to achieve with so many different kinds of human behaviour co-existing in this galaxy. Not all, but yes few individuals or groups can surely care about each other and humanity in general and can reduce their exploitation of common goods to achieve the Pareto-Optimal outcome. Speaking about this from philosophical angle, may be this is what scriptures like Geeta meant when it was written that the whole world is heading towards destruction or in other words, the entropy of the universe keeps on increasing each moment. It is in our nature.

How likely is it that the writers of “Battlestar Galactica” (2004-2009) intended for us to understand that the series was set in an alternative universe to our own?

“This has all happened before. And it will all happen again.”This line, above all else, indicates to me that Battlestar Galactica was set to be in the same universe as our own.First of all, it seems likely that most stories, whether science fiction, fantasy, or otherwise, are set in a universe which is simply a variation of our own. If you think about it, each of these fictional universes from Harry Potter to Star Wars are only a variation of the one we have now, whether in the future or the past (“A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away”). All fiction is based off of reality. But in Battlestar Galactica, we are fed tidbits of information which hint to their universe as being a close relative of ours, if not the very same. The cycle that perpetuates itself in Battlestar Galactica—picture the series finale, in which Gaius Baltar and Caprica-Six are talking to each other about how everything that just happened will happen once again—leads us to believe that the Battlestar Galactica universe is a future version of ours, a technologically advanced take on the destruction of species and the wars between major factions. These are patterns we’ve seen well in our own history, including the World Wars and what might eventually be an A.I. predominance in society. This artificial intelligence is what the Cylons are, after all, a robotic lifeform so technologically advanced that they can think, feel, bleed. With technology this superior, it’s no wonder it might war against its own creators, a race it feels to be brutal, ungodly, and overpopulated.Yet the mind-bender comes when realizing that the creators of the show perhaps meant for the Earth of BSG to be a past version of ours; the Galactica’s journey to Earth and the few survivors who make it to the surface seem to be humans’ ancestors. So is it future or past? This and many other questions are raised in the show, and only one thing seems to be very clear: “This has all happened before. And it will all happen again.”

Theoretically, what would be the easiest way to destroy the earth or at least kill all of humanity?

Wait for about 1 billion years while destroying all rockets, spaceships,… to stop them from going out. The luminosity of the Sun would be so great that we are not in the Goldilock zone anymore.Persuade diplomats in the US to sanction the North Korea further and then use nuclear weapon to attack the Democratic Republic of North Korea, which will lead to the final nuclear war of humanity.Set up a propaganda to stop people from breathing for 2 minutes and see if humanity survives.Grow a deadly disease culture in the lab and deliberately spread them widely.Ask NASA to send a rocket to Pluto (or Eris, or Makemake or whatever you want in the Kuiper belt, just large enough) (again) and destroy some of the orbital speed at the right timing. That would be easier to destroy the Earth’s orbital speed or any inner planets’ because the orbital speed out there is much smaller. At the very right timing, Pluto will be heading towards the Earth, and destroy all of humanity.Dig a tunnel across the Earth. Preferably the two ends are connected to volcanoes. (And everyone will die after suffering from pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, see if I spelt it right)Persuade ISIS to set up bases around the world and recruit members around the world. After several terrorist attack, people start to accuse others of killing, and just suspect everyone is in ISIS, and this is the most horrible thimg where humans kill each other just out of suspicion.(Not killing all of humanity in a literal sense) develop a deadlier virus than Wannacry, and that will make everyone frustrated about their files.Develop a very addictive violent video game, which is adopting VR. In reality, people start to be confused about the surroundings, and start the action they had in video games, and boom! Everyone kills everyone else.Ask Dave Consiglio to think of one good plan. Everyone Dies.
