US Navy vs Russian Navy. Who is better?
In WW ONE the battleship was king. So everyone made a lot of them. So many that after the war they wrote the Washington Treaty to limit them. Turns out since the navies could not build as many battle ships as they wanted, they built air craft carriers. Turns out that was a good move. In WW TWO the carrier was king and the battleships were mainly used for shore bombardment. Carrier planes were sinking the battle ships left and right and not one battleship got close enough to a carrier to even take a shot. However, after WW TWO there was no treaty limiting battleships or carriers. So the US Navy went whole hog into air craft carriers. And has built its entire war fighting strategy around them. Russia on the other hand seriously looked at carriers. They were OK as long as the enemy did not know where they were. But with satellites and radar and scout planes, it is almost impossible to hide a carrier today. So the Russians went with lots and lots of subs and very few carriers. However, that was 1990. Today the Russian fleet is mostly rust buckets and they would not do well at all. Which is why they are rebuilding fast.

The United States Navy has roughly half of all of the naval combat power in the world. A fight between the current navies of the entire world against the U.S. Navy would be a fair fight. That's how overwhelming American naval supremacy currently is.
Has the US and Russia ever been at war?
In some secret conflicts yes like in Africa Soviet forces were in direct combat with covert US forces vise versa in Vietnam and there have been some small engagements around Alaska that have never been made public as far as fighting the Russians the US built her whole military to fight them , the US would win mainly because our doctrine is made to beat them.
How could Russia, the US or China cope in such a naval event?
Pakistan sends 1000 of its hamjaheed warships stealthily gets to the coast of China or Russia's Vladivostok or America's Florida. They sneak in and fire their 900 gatling guns per ship ruining entire ports and having ultra fast repair using stainless steel armour (wont rust and never needs repainting). Who would win in a non nuclear war between USA and Russia?
it would be a stalemate, both nations have great armies, and both have pretty strong tactics. If the US tried to attack Russia through the bering straits, they would encounter problems getting from the straits to moscow, due to the nasty winter in siberia(coldest area on earth in terms of how cold it is on the northern hemisphere, not comparing it to the artic zones, or antartica, the artic is over an ocean.), and the supply line they’d have to maintain along the way, if they go through the Ukraine, they’ll face stiff opposition, that will give them pause, remember Stalingrad, that was the limit of the German advance on the russians, and failed, napoleon tried to conquer russia, went as far as moscow, but faced a cruel winter that caused them massive casualities to his grand army and let to his downfall, If the US invades russia, they will face their own Stalingrad, the people will not allow themselves to be conquered by anyone, they’d rather overthrow their own leader on their own, over accepting any foreign help.Now if Russia tried to invade the U.S. they could move through Alaska quickly, U.S. doesn’t have a large number of military bases, but the U.S. will rapidly deploy their units from Washington puget sound that has a naval base, and Fort lewis, Washington will dispatch trooper to juneau to mobilize and try to stop the russian advance, next you can expect a wave of air force from some small bases in the northwestern USA to try to pound the invaders, but once the russians dig in, there will be a stalemate among the forces. you have russians who are well trained in winter warfare, while the U.S. only have few units well trained such as the soldiers from Fort Drum, new york(I heard it from the drill sgts about how cold it is at Fort Drum vs. any soldiers bases in alaska, ‘Alaskan based soldiers come to fort drum for winter training.’) Attacking from the atlantic would be impossible to do so without NATO joining in, and the attack in Alaska could get Canada involve under NATO’s Attack on one is an attack on all policy, to answer this. I believe this war is a stalemate, no other country was able to conquer russia in the past, and won’t be able to do so in the future, it’ll be conquered from within.
