Where To Buy Opaque Tights

Where can I buy opaque nude colored tights?

So I have my school semi-formal dance coming up really soon, and I need to buy some tights to wear with my dress because the dress is really short.
I've been looking for a pair of nude/beige colored tights that aren't see through at the butt so that I'll be okay in case I bend over too far or something haha. I just don't know where I can buy a pair.
My friend suggested Macys...

Anywhere else I can get a pair of good OPAQUE tights???
plz and thnxx :)

Opaque tights to a job interview?

I have an interview for a corporate media buy position. I am kind of a fashion forward person and don't mind expressing that (conservatively) even in a job interview (It's kind of a big part of who I am and I want to be comfortable.
I am wearing a suit that consists of a black knee length dress and a short black and white houndstooth jacket. I am 23 and NEVER wear regular pantyhose. Sometimes I'll wear funky textured tights but i know I cant't wear them to an interview. I am going to wear black opaque tights with the outfit, is that okay? I just don't think I can bring myself to do sheer, it's just so frumpy.

Opaque tights in the winter...?

No way! That'll look really pretty, you can add boots with a chunky cardigan or something. I see girls wear that kind of stuff all the time. And it wont matter what anyone thinks anyway, it only matters if you feel comfortable and comfy :) There's some pics below if you wanna get some ideas too :)

Can super opaque tights be worn as pants?

Tights: a woman's thin, close-fitting garment, typically made of nylon or other knitted yarn, covering the legs, hips, and bottom. A garment similar to tights worn by a dancer or acrobat.Pants: an outer garment covering each leg separately and usually extending from the waist to the ankle. (My note: not generally skin tight.)They are not the same thing. So, no, tights cannot be worn as pants. You can wear tights OR pants, but one does not wear tights and think he is wearing pants.

Where can I buy extra thick, very opaque fashion tights?

I'm looking for tights that are like regular opaque fashion tights, but much thicker and more opaque. Think of tights that are a single pair, but as thick as two or three regular pairs, and made of the same material. I got a great pair of tights like that from Urban Outfitters a few years ago, but they've been discontinued and I'm looking for a replacement. Anyone know and brands or stores for tights like that?

I'm just asking about products, but even though I'm a guy, I do use tights for fashion. I wear them with regular guy's shorts and other clothes, and not for crossdressing.

How are opaque tights different from nylon tights?

Opaque tights are tights that are intended to cover the legs so that little or no skin shows through. The overall appearance of the legs is of the color of tights, even if some skin can be seen. Generally tights with a denier of 40 or higher are consider opaque. Opaque fashion tights are typically in the range of 60 to 80 denier, and are mostly nylon, but with some lycra added for stretch and a good fit. However opaque tights can also be made with other fabrics instead of nylon, such as cotton, wool, acrylic, or polyester, also usually with some lycra added. Those fabrics are warmer than nylon, and tights made with them are most commonly worn in colder weather. Some winter weight opaque tights, regardless of the fabric, can be quite thick, even close to the thickness of leggings.Nylon tights are simply tights made using nylon. They may be opaque, as described above, or sheer, even to the point of being hard to detect. In the U.S. sheer tights are called pantyhose, and “tights” implies being opaque. However, in the U.K. sheer through very opaque are all called tights. Also, in the U.S. some women refer to pantyhose as “nylons.” That’s not common now, since pantyhose is so much out of fashion.

What are some fashionable opaque tights styles?

Sports leggings or footless tights for men have been around for quite some time. Wearing them under shorts and button up shirt for the alternative or hipster style is the way to go. That way you are coming across still masculine but layering with opaque tights to go with. You don’t have to be gay, CD, trans or effeminate to pull off the look, but you do have to dress the look properly or you will come across a bit odd if it’s not balanced.

What if a guy wore black opaque tights with shorts in public?

Women and Gay Men would enjoy the visual delight of men in tights thats for sure. As we do now, when we see this outfit coming down the street.I so enjoyed the photos that Anna Bomby shared. The look of leggins and shorts are no longer confined to the Gym-thank goodness! While the color isn't black, the tights and shorts are there, even back in 1953.

What's the difference between nylon tights and opaque tights?

Depends what you mean by "nylon tights"... if you are indeed referring to nylons i.e. pantyhose or stockings then yes, these are usually some form of skin tone or sheer, and hence not suitable for your school attire. However if you are referring to tights whose main constituent fabric is nylon instead of lycra/spandex etc. then this merely refers to the fact that, while these may not be as sheer as pantyhose they will generally be more sheer than regular tights. Your best bet is to go to the hosiery section of your local department store and look for packages that specifically say "opaque tights" since these will generally be just that-- just don't buy the generic brand, they're not worth it.
Be sure to get either black or navy tights, these will generally be the most opaque ones. Depending on how important your tights are to you you may want to consider buying some high-end, high-denier tights off the Internet, such as Aristoc, Wolford, or Jonathan Ashton- i reccomend Wolford 80 dens, they're very soft and very opaque, but also very expensive.

Do I tell my roommates that I like to wear opaque women's tights?

Help! I've loved to wear and seeing women in tights since I was a little boy, but I'm nervous at now 22 how to tell my friends that I like to wear “women's” opaque tights, they are the most comfortable piece of clothing and make me feel good and tremendously help with some leg pain but I'm incredibly nervous to wear them in front of my roommates one of which having been my best friend since 10th grade. I don't want to him or his girlfriend to mislabel me as "Gay" , "Sissy", "Cross dresser". Looking for advice on how to break the ice.Ps I'm about 6′ 6″ 380 pounds, large frame but chunky, I wouldn't even entertain the idea of wearing a pair tights by itself out or in front of people. I'd cover up the private areas with basketball shorts, slack and cargo shorts, slacks or jeans. I haven't worn them in a few years and I bought a few pairs while my roommates were on vacation and love wearing them. I prefer the darker ones 60 or higher denier, I've even shaved my legs and realized they are beat up showing many unattractive scars. I haven't had a long history with relationships and my friends have hinted that they suspect im gay which is not the case but makes me think wearing tights will solidify their thoughts of me being gay and they will spread that around. Any advice would be much appreciated.
