Which Branch Is Better As Far As Living Quarters Benefits Schooling And Such

What are the benefits of joining the Navy?(U.S)?

I am a 15 year old who really wants a career in the military
For lots of reasons, I believe women should strive to be more than mothers and things of that nature (PLEASE DO NOT BE OFFENDED BY THAT, any mother in the military i applaud you, it's just a lot of my peers only want to be mothers, and i want to be so much more than that)
i also want to get out of my small town and see the world for what it is.

I realize the military is the way to go, i am already in my high schools JROTC (and i love it!)
So i guess my main question is, what are the benefits of going into the Navy as opposed to other branches?
I've considered them all, but i really want to learn more about the Navy.
Thank you to al!

WHICH MILITARY BRANCH IS BETTER? WHICH ONE HAS THE BEST BENEFITS? WHAT ARE THEY?

Pay rates and fringe beneifts are identical in all branches of the US Military.

Its all a matter of preference.

Marines and soldiers tend to have the worst living conditions in time of battle, since you'll be out there on the ground carrying your house and food and cloths and your weapsons on your back.

People in the Air Force live in a barracks of off base near an air port and do the least amount of travel but they have the best family life.

People in the Navy get to travel the most and see the world, if they are stationed on a small suface ship, that is anything smaller than an Aircraft Carrier.

Aircraft Carriers and Submarines travel a lot, but they rarely visit foreign ports. Aircraft Carriers are known to go to sea for a year at a time without ever pulling into port.

However, you'll have more room and more creature comforts on an Aircraft carrier than any other type of Navy ship.

Submarines have the least amount of space when you are at sea but you'll get to live in a barracks or off base when your boat is in port.

Submariners call their sub a boat, not a ship.

Submariners get the best food in the military.

The Air Force is the closest thing to a 9 to 5 job the miliary has to offer.

However shore duty in the Navy is equally as good.

The recruiters will tell you about the perks of the military and they don't talk about the hard things and difficult things.

A very common phrase in boot camp is, "My recruiter never told me it would be like this!"

Boot camp is usually the worst experience you'll have in your life.

It usually gets better after that.

I was in the Naval Reserve six years and served on active duty for two years. Most of that two years was serving aborad a destroyer, with home port in San Diego, and while I was on active duty my ship made one cruise over seas which lasted about 7 months. That was during the Vietnam War.

My ship came home from that cruise 37 years ago last month.

I thank God every day that I was able to come home without a scratch.

What branch of the military should i join?

I am a 20 year old American-Palestinian thinking of joining the military but i don't know what branch. I was considering the army or army reserve but am now giving it a second thought.I am looking into the navy, air force or coast guard and haven't ruled out the army or the reserves. I am looking to do something that will benefit me after i get out, thats if i get out when i want to get out. I would like to get a BA while in the military and travel the world but i would also like to only stay in it for 3 to 4 years.I don't support the war in Iraq but i still would like to serve my country. Joining seems like the smart idea to do to get a jump start in life,
1. I want to know the pros and cons
2. Also want to better my Arabic speaking skills (army has a program for this i don't know if the other branches have this)
3. Do you get the benefits that they say you will get or do they mess with you? ( college funding, job opportunity's)
4. Hows the pay? Really?

What is the best military branch to work for?

I chose the Navy based, in part, on a criteria that ended up failing me: I liked their real estate. The Air Force supposedly has a nice standard of living, but they do said living in dusty little armpit towns in Tumbleweed Gulch, West Texas. Whereas the Navy gets beachfront property everywhere nice. The Army and Marine corps are no great shakes, either.  Ever lay eyes on Camp Lejeune?  Ft Bragg?  Seemed like a no-brainer to me.Sadly, though, I spent the entirety of my Navy career on Army bases in the middle of BFE, so I never got to reap the reward of my excellent, well-informed decision making. Also to be considered:Temperamentwise, I'm equal parts dumbass and hardass, but the lion's share of my character is smartass, and that seemed to actually work out OK in the Navy. I believe the Marines would have been very frustrated with me (and vice versa), the Air Force is way too wussy, and the Army is (to my mind) needlessly gung ho about unimportant stuff. Is that the general consensus?  I imagine not.  Is there a general consensus?  I don't think so.Thanks for the A2A.

What branch of military is best if you want to travel?

I am a Junior in high school and have decided I want to join the military in order to travel. Which branch is more likely to travel to Asian countries? My dad was in the army and we just came from Germany, but how is it with the navy, marines, and airforce? And what would the best position in those branches be for a higher chance of travelling *with decent pay? I'm aware there are chances that I might not travel at all if I join. Or if not the military, what is a decent/high paying job where I get to travel to Asia?

Is the Air Force the best branch in the military?

I don't think any branch is difficult to get into, it's after you enlist that's hard and will show if you have any clout at all. The benefits are the exact same in every branch, but the AF is notorious for slow promotions. Jobs after enlistment depend largely on your MOS.
