Which Brides Were Nervous At Their Royal Weddings

What was the best thing about the royal wedding?

There were lots of “best things” about the wedding, for me, anyway.I loved seeing Prince William talking to Harry before the bride arrived, trying to calm his nerves. During William's wedding, Harry did that for him, so it was fun to see the roles reversed.I loved seeing Harry's face when he first saw his bride, and every time he looked at her during the ceremony.I loved the way the bride looked at Harry during the ceremony. Love just radiated from her towards him.I thought it was adorable how Harry would wipe tears from his eyes, then pass it off as “just smoothing the beard, folks. Nothing to see here.”I loved the fatherly way Prince Charles took her arm and talked to her as he walked her down the aisle. I've always admired Prince Charles.I loved seeing the Queen and Prince Philip. I'm glad Harry was able to find the woman of his dreams and get married while his grandfather could enjoy it. The Duke does not look good, and I'm afraid he's not going to be with us much longer. I expect Harry's first son to be named in his honor, as they're very close.I loved seeing the whole family gathered to celebrate with Harry - all his aunts, uncles, cousins by the dozens - it was a beautiful sight.I thought the venue was gorgeous. Simple, elegant, and beautiful. And the page boys and flower girls were adorable. And I especially loved how the Royal family made sure this was Meghan and Harry’s day - ALL focus was on them. I mean, let’s face it, when the Queen attends an event, it’s natural that people want to see her, and there are certain protocols involved with having her there. And they had not only the Queen, but the next King, the next-next-King, and the King after THAT all in attendance. Lots to see there. But the total focus was on the bride and groom. Which is as it should be.One thing that really got me - and the only part that actually brought a tear to my eye. At the end of the ceremony, everyone stood to sing “God Save the Queen”. And watching Harry standing there, surrounded by his family, and facing his grandmother, it struck me - that’s not JUST a national anthem for him and his family. That’s … well.. sort of a prayer, really… for the long life and health of their Mum, Granny, great-granny.. aunt…. it’s PERSONAL for them. And for whatever reason, THAT’s what “got me” during the ceremony.

What should a bride do if she wakes up the day of her wedding and is very sick - throwing up, diarrhea, fever, coughing, etc? And the wedding is super expensive with lots of guests.

If you can afford a expensive wedding. I would most likely call a doctor. Maybe, he can give me a IV and rehydrate me. Give me medication to stop the diarrhea and don't drink any alcohol. Sip water and eat a bit if you can without being nausea or throwing up. Take some Tylenol for the fever and medicine for the cough. If it's too much. Get through the day as best you can. Take as many pictures as you can. Let the rest of your family and friends enjoy the day on your behalf. It's a party and it's already paid for right???? I had a friend who had the same situation. Hers was a baby shower and she went into labor that morning. We all took as many pictures as possible. It was enough for me to put together a beautiful mommy and daddy shower book. She loved the idea that it turned out so pretty!!!

Have you ever been to a wedding to which guests brought swords?

Yes.I was asked to sing at a wedding where there were a lot of swords present. Both Bride and Groom were officers in the army, as were a lot of their friends. Dress uniforms were present in abundance, and used at two points:At the point at which the Priest asks the question about objecting or keeping your peace, there was a huge rattle of swords. It appeared to be a regimental tradition to do that to prevent any objections being heard. At the end, the bride and groom processed out under a row of crossed swords.

Is it a good idea to make a homemade wedding cake?

To cut costs, my cousin and her maid of honor are making her wedding cake from scratch, with some help from her grandmother.

Everyone else in the family seems to think this is odd, but I personally think its a great idea, seeing as how A. Weddings are super expensive, and B. it's a relatively informal affair. Still, I'm curious as to what people think of this
Would anyone else make their own wedding cake? Or is it better to buy?
