My room is lavender, do I have to paint it white in order to paint it Pink or can I just paint over it?

I would do gray with yellow as the accent color. I like Sherwin Williams 7016 Mindful Gray for the walls & 7014 Eider White for the ceiling. Crisp white for the trim. If you get a gray with a brown undertone the room will look muddy. Use their Duration Home line in a flat finish for a velvety look. okay so im redoing my room soon and i need help in picking out a color to paint it.
