Which Is The Better City Sim Game - Simcity 2013 Or Cities Xl

What do you think about the new Sim City (2013) and will be better than Cities XL?

I always loved Sim City for hours I played Sim City 4: Rush Hour, my adventure with the series began with my first computer I got from my uncle as a birthday gift. It was my uncle used computer on which they were installed the game Sim City 2000, Sid Meier's Colonization, and Transport Tycoon. I like strategy games, and economical games.

I am particularly pleased the Sim City series. I've played in all. Unfortunately, Maxis has started to create these stupid Sims, Forgetting Sim City , a game that made famous by their company.

The last part of Sim City is a total disgrace, totally infantile game, I did not like it

I heard that in the new Sim City will be petition from voters, as was done in Sim City 3000 and which unfortunately was not in Sim City 4, I always liked that show voters that they are just voters, and I am Big Fish Because people need to know their place :-)

In Sim City 3000 was also a nice option to raising the alarm, sometimes activated the alarm, just for fun, so people were always ready :)

But seriously I think Sim City series (with the exception of Sim City: Societies) is extremely successful. Now I play Cities XL, but looking forward to the return of the king :-)

I would like to know your opinion on the Sim City and Cities XL

SimCity 5 vs Cities XL Platinum?

Cities XL is alright, but is less detailed then Simcity 5. For example you can't see which of your people walking in the streets are tourists or workers, which could be very handy. But what Cities XL does have, and Simcity doesn't, is building your own hotels and own buss lines. Building motorways is easier on Simcity, since you can easily change it to a road which can handle more traffic. In cities XL you can't change your road, so if you want to upgrade your road, you first got to delete it. Building houses is also less easy in Cities XL, since you got to change your density yourself, with Simcity this goes automatically and that of course is more realistic.

So if I were you, I would chose for Simcity.
Then you still need to chose between Simcity 4 and 5.
Well, it depends on what you want to do, do you want to make really big cities, with a lot op people living in it, then you should go for Simcity 4.
Do you prefer a little bit moderner and more detailed game, then go for Simcity 5. It indeed is true that you have quite small cities in Simcity 5, but it makes you focused on one specialty, for example gambling.

Question about the new 'Sim City'?

At the moment you have to have a constant connection to the internet to be able to play. However, you cities are saved on remote servers, not on your hard drive. When you exit the game it pushes a second back-up to the server. When you log back in it will be happy to pull your previous cities up for you.

Note: if you mention any of the following in EA message boards they WILL ban you.
It turns out to be pretty easy to take Sim City into an offline mode. Deleting two lines of code is all it takes and the game will stop talking to the server and allow you to play without being online. Doing this *does* disable saving, however, but moders have promised a patch for this will not be difficult.

Should I buy Simcity 2013 now?

Frankly I feel this game isn't worth anything at all.

Here's why.
1. It has to be online all the time while you play. Even for solo gameplay.
2. The city plots are way way way too small. You just can't build a decent sized city.
3. There is no terraforming at all.
4. You can't save your game locally. You have to save to their server and many cities have been lost this way.
5. The simulation is still bugged in various ways even after the latest update.

If you want a newer city simulation game, try "Cities XL" instead. Or else get the older "Sim City 4" Sim city 4 doesn't have the graphics of the new Sim City, but it plays 1000 times better.

Read various reviews and the accompanying comments and you will see all the troubles being had with the new Sim City.
