Can I still get into college with bad SAT scores??
Well, look for a back door. I did horrible as well, as a matter of fact I did so bad on my LSAT's that I did not take my SATs until after I attended a community college. If you can do well at a 2 yr community college you can transfer to a 4 yr after. I eventually took the SATs and did horible as well, I think it was around 900 combined. The math killed me, I hadn't had a math course in 4 years. Some 4yr schools also have night schools and summer schools that are easy to get into, pretty much sign up and attend. Take some courses this was how I did it, if you do well the school will notice and possibly make an exception, they might just make you take a remedial math or English course, I had to do this. Honestly I don't think SAT's are that big a deal with a major in vocal performance. Pick a school, visit it, make some friends, email some professors and ask them to help you. (don't listen to your high school advisor, I did that and joined the Army, what a waste that was) Good luck You will do fine

That's a great GPA. The only issue I have is that with just 2 AP classes your subjects are probably not rigorous enough for the very best schools like Cal-tech and MIT. However you will have a good shot at schools just below that (ie outside the top 20 or so). My gut feeling is Reed would be a good choice: http://web.reed.edu/ Academically its as good as any in the world. Another excellent choice would be New College Florida: http://www.ncf.edu/ It sends more students to graduate school than just about any school (around 2/3's go to graduate school). IMHO these days viewing undergrad as a preparation for graduate school is a wise choice. Can i get into college with low SAT/ACT scores?
I’ve been under alot of pressure lately since i am in high school going into senior year. At this point, i have 2 sides, the one that doesn’t care anymore since its senior year or the one that is extremely nervous about the college appplication. But thats not the problem... My problem is that i have low test scores... SAT is 1,000 and ACT is 19. To be honest i dont want to go through test taking again. I find that math is my highest but when combined with English its gameover for me. Alot of older peers such as my sisters friends who are in college, tells me that i shouldnt worry about the applications because i will most likely get into college. But yet... the advice doesnt help my case. Im a regular kid who took regular classes in highschool with a 3.2 GPA and wants to major in Information Technology or Computer Engineering. Can somebody give me some advice? And taking another test will not help because the closet ACT SAT will not be till late fall and most applications on the colleges i want to go will be due by the time i take the test.

Your numbers are enough to get you into any of these schools, if and only if you have solid pluses elsewhere as well. If you've been involved in something outside of classes and have taken real initiative with it, it will almost double your chances of getting in. Applicants with similar stats are probably pretty common for these schools, so make sure you've got plenty of other things going on that will separate you from the crowd. Make sure you're involved and passionate about something, and commit yourself to it and show your results. Good luck.
What colleges can I get into with a 3.14 (weighted) GPA?
-My unweighted GPA is 3.08 (but I included the grades that I got in my extracurricular classes, like art, etc.; so if I didn't include those grades it would probably be around a 2.8 or 2.9) -My SAT score is 1830/2400 -My ACT score is 25/36 I would really appreciate your help. Thanks. ;)
