What the pros and cons of being a super hero?
Pros: Superpowers...provided you know how to use them. Rescuing a gorgeous damsel in distress. Saving an entire city and receiving a Key to the City. Seeing your face plastered across billboards world wide. Stopping evil. Having female fans adore you globally. Cons: Making powerful enemies, some more powerful than you. Superpowers...provided you accidentally level a town. Protecting your family and loved ones from enemies. Tendency to aggravate the military and/or government. Being betrayed by your comrades. Killing innocent civilians in a grand-scale battle.
DC vs Manga. Is Goku really a rip off of Superman?
I loved both Superman and DBZ. But as I grew up, I couldn't shake the feeling that the creator of Dragon Ball Z was inspired by the old time DC comic hero. I even researched the topic, and found out that the Saiyans, were inspired by the Spartans, and their super powers, were off of Superman. But then I viewed an online forum that had many people claiming that DBZ is just a rip off of DC. At first, I was a little mad reading that, but then it dawned on me what if it is. What do you guys think, are the Ultra powerful Saiyan race just that, a rip off of the Kryptonians? Are they an improvement of Super man? Or are they something that Akira Toriyama had thought up of due to Superman (starting point), but isn't related to it really, was just something cool inspired by it? Tell me what you guys think.
