Because of its kernel type, it was limited to run only Windows Store Apps which are Apps created for the Metro platform. While software like Office and other customized Microsoft products run on it, users only have the Windows Explorer and a few in-built apps to play or work with. I personally operated this device.The next release was Surface Pro Tablet.This improved tablet ran on full Windows 8 OS. It was upgraded to 8.1 and then, now to 10. The Surface Pro can handle all desktop softwares including EXEs, MSIs etc. I operated a Surface Pro Tablet with Visual Studio 2012 installed.Lately, we have the Surface Book.This awesome piece of hardware delivers speed and power to handle heavy duty software with ease. Yes, it's definetely possible. But keep in mind BlueStacks needs some 'Minimum Requirements'. So check with that and purchase a tablet accordingly.Also keep in mind, BlueStacks can be installed on a Windows 8/8 PRO OS powered machine only. Do not go for a Windows RT powered machine. Note: Even though BlueStacks can run Android Apps and Services, the base system is still Windows. So don't have high expectations from the software and be under the impression that the complete experience will be flawless. Often, people have a hard time playing games and many complain about the application consuming a lot of RAM.

Adobe Photoshop only runs in Windows, and MAC OSX operating systems. It doesn't run on Android tablets like the Samsung Galaxy or on iOS tablets like iPads.
