Who Created The Computer

Who created PC computers?

IBM created the first PC. Compaq then reverse-engineered the BIOS, and created the first IBM Compatible clone, which started the PC industry we know and love today.

It should be noted that there were personal computers before the IBM-PC, but they're not the same sort of PC we'd consider today. To anyone who thinks the Apple started that craze, I've got an Altair 8800 that's willing to dispute that idea.

Who created the layout for the computer keyboard?

In 1872, Remington produced the first mechanical typewriter, patented by C. Latham Sholes. Soon typists were going so fast that they were able to jam the keys which flew up to hit the typewriter ribbon. In the late 1870's: the "improved" Qwerty layout was designed to slow down typing, so those pesky keys would not jam anymore. Here is the speed trap we are stuck with today, 130 years later.

How was science used in the creation of computers?

In a nutshell, because that's all that can fit, there's so much....

Science = electrical currents used to power motherboards, processors, fan cooling, signals to monitors, periphreals, etc.

Technology = this question isn't really valid. technically, the creation of computers *is* technology in itself. If you mean how other technologies influenced computers, then any counting and logical system from calculators to typewriters all played a part in computer technology.

Engineering = the development and engineering of computer hardware, especially motherboards, were essential in the makings of our first computer.

MATH = omg this is the big one. the Binary Code (0,1's) is the core machine language, which is based on mathematical patterns of repetition, quantity, and length.

So science was the powered electricity, technology was anything computer-like (i.e. calculators), engineering was creating the hardware, and math was the programming language.
