Who Gonna Read My Novel When It Comes Out Its A Viking Jack Rabbit Novel

What is a good summer reading book for a second grade boy who is an avid reader?

I would suggest the book Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. It's the first proper book I read and it was in 2nd Grade that I read it. It was such a wonderful experience especially with those beautiful illustrations which were included. I read and re read it through the vacations and for the first time I realised that reading a book can make you sad and then happy a few minutes later. Also it was a good start because after reading this book I was hooked onto reading everything and I loved reading juice and milk cartons which I still do today.I went onto read Tom Sawyer later on and then Enid Blyton and all those classics and then abridged Shakespeare in 7th grade introduced me to Shakespeare and I still haven't read original Shakespeare but I want to. But yeah I slowed down on the reading and then in XIth grade I restarted with gusto when Da Vinci Code came out and there's been no looking back because now I can enjoy a Dan Brown & a Pamuk or Marquez side by side and I credit the first book I ever read for this. Don't know why but I feel the book was a good omen to start with. So yeah, go for Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. God Spede

. Works such as "To Build a Fire" gave Naturalist writers such as Jack London a platform to argue that (Points?

Jack London definitely believed that living in nature was fun and easy. "To Build a Fire" illustrates his enthusiasm for natural living by being a light comedic treatise on camping.

My parents took away all my entertainment devices because of my bad marks. I'm about 15 and lost hope. I want to start reading books, where do I start?

Easy. What kind of video game you usually play? Start with a book in those genre. To tell you the truth, there are so many book sub genres out there and chances are you will find one that suits you the most. Let’s start with one that’s a bit “video game-ish”. Military science fiction where the characters fighting monster in other planets with their supercool futuristic weapons? Or a high fantasy with elfs, orcs and the like?I was a gamer once during my younger years so I can assure you that books give the same level of excitement as video game, if not better.Join Goodreads ! It’s the most useful too ever! It’ll help you with book recommendation, reviews and rating and what not.A food for thought: too many of the movies you see on the cinemas are based on someone’s book. Harry Potter, Miss Peregrine Home of Peculiar Children, Our Kind of Traitor, Lord of the Rings, Me Before You, oh and let’s not forget those cool superheroes which are based on comics. Books are indeed a good source of entertainment!I hope this helps and don’t forget to study :) Good luck with yout school and have fun reading!

What are some recommended books for 10 year old boys?

Jack London's great classics: "Call of the Wild" and "White Fang."These are adult books I read to my son when he was seven and eight. A smart 11 year could certainly read and grasp them on his own. And if you, the recommending adult, haven't read them yourself, read them when he does so you can talk them over. Another really great book I read to him is "Empire of the Sun," when he was 11, maybe 12 -  the same age as the protagonist is at the beginning of the story, which follows the his adolescence in a Japanese P..O.W. camp. As it's a powerful story that relies on at least some knowledge of WW2 history, you have to either read it to him or with him.Judy Blume was - and probably still is - immensely popular with his age group. Also, I hear "Wind in the Willows" is a good read - it was a favorite of my son's, but I never read it myself. Your query has already garnered many answers, yet I strongly suggest you talk to your neighborhood librarian. He/She will be delighted...what with the ubiquity of the Internet hardly anyone asks the librarian any more, and these people are TRAINED to respond. And they love books. Good luck and happy reading to your young friend.

What were the movies you watched reluctantly that turned out to be great?

There was a time during my engineering days that I had already watched almost all obviously good movies. So, finding a movie to watch used to be a chore. First find a movie available on the LAN of our college. Then go to the IMDb page of the movie to get some idea about it. If the movie seems interesting there, download it from the LAN and then watching it.This process would get exponentially difficult and long when there were people apart from me, sitting to watch the movie. Everyone had different taste in movies and after going through the IMDb profile of any movie it was unlikely to have a consensus. Sometimes the process took 2–3 hours for finally agreeing on a movie, the time in which easily a movie could have been completed. :PAnyway, one summer night there were two of us - me and a friend, looking for a movie to watch. We landed on a name we had heard nothing about before. So, we moved to the IMDb profile of the movie. The summary of the movie at that time went something like this - Guilt-stricken after a job gone wrong, a hitman and his partner await orders from their ruthless boss, while laying low at a place neither of them wants to be. From this description it seemed like a clichéd crime drama movie about the redemption story of a criminal. I was least interested in watching something like that at the time. But my friend got super excited about it and wanted to watch it.We had an impasse of around 15 minutes, but subsequently, I acquiesced reluctantly to watch the movie,as I didn’t have any other movie suggestion to fight on. We started watching the movie and the first dialogue in the first scene was enough to intrigue me completely. The movie had me at hello. :D This movie turned out to be one of the awesomest dark comedy movies I have ever seen. I absolutely loved everything about the movie especially the performances, cinematography and the background score. Since then I have rewatched this movie countless number of times and enjoy it always. The movie is In Bruges by Martin Mcdonagh.
