Who Is Going To Replace Craig Furgeson

Why does Craig Ferguson act so stupid?

Yes he does. Because thats theme of his show. That's his brand of humour. And there are quite a lot of people who do find it quite funny. And if you thought he was really stupid, you couldn't be farther from the truth.

Why didn't Craig Ferguson replace David Letterman on the Late Show? How will this affect his Late Late Show?

“Why didn't Craig Ferguson replace David Letterman on the Late Show?”Let’s ask Craig Ferguson. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Crag said:Contrary to reports, Ferguson’s exit from The Late Late Show had nothing to do with David Letterman announcing his retirement and Ferguson not being asked to be his successor.“It used to enrage me when I was doing the show that people would assume I was trying to get the 11:30 p.m. show that came on before it,” he says. “Why the fuck would I want do that? To this day people don’t believe that I left because I didn’t get the show. It’s horseshit.”When I point out that the reason so many people harp on that is because of a clause rumored to be in his contract that stipulated he would get a $5 million payout if he was passed over for Letterman’s gig, he politely cuts me off. “Yeah… that was never reported accurately.” Does he want to clear it up? “No, no, no. I don’t want to get into all that shit.”He happily, however, assesses the nine months he’s spent without the Late Late Show’s regular employment. “At first it was a little strange,” he says. “But I was relieved to get out.”Relieved? “I remember it very fondly,” he says, reiterating several times how glad he is to have done it and how proud he is of the work he did on it. “I don’t miss it though.” The thing is, as much as we enjoyed Ferguson’s take on the late-night format, it’s a format that he, perhaps unsurprisingly considering how often he denigrated it, never warmed to.[…] “You see one of the major things that I got weary of in late-night was being part of a gang I didn’t want to be a part of. They’re all a great group of guys—nothing against them!—I just didn’t join that band. I felt… pigeonholed is too strong a word. But I felt that I wanted to do something different.”[…] How could he be a poor fit in a genre in which he was widely considered to be among the examples of excellence?“Here’s the thing: I’m still doing it […] I’m just not doing it late-night.” Ferguson compares it to David Bowie and his alter ego. “I haven’t ceased to be me, or ceased to perform and do what I do,” he says. “What I did is… I guess I stopped dressing as Ziggy. It’s still me, but it’s not that me.”One hundred shows or so before Craig finished up his Late Late Show, he even explained why he was leaving (primarily: he feels 10 years of doing the show is enough):And in an interview Craig did with Howard Stern, published March 2017, Craig describes his relationship with David Letterman:

Who's going to replace David Letterman now that he's announced his retirement?

It won't be announced for a while, but the press is going wild naming potential names: Conan O'Brien, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Craig Ferguson, Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Chelsea Handler, W Kamau Bell, Jerry Seinfeld, and more...

What will happen to Craig Ferguson after The Late Late Show and Celebrity Name Game?

Ferguson is ending his reign as host of both The Late Late Show on CBS and syndication's Celebrity Name Game before the end of the last month of 2014.

What is it like to appear on the Craig Ferguson show?

I don't think it's scripted. See my answer here: Is it a pre-written show?

What is Craig Ferguson's relationship with David Letterman?

Worldwide Pants, Letterman's production company, produced Craig's version of The Late Late Show. So you've got to assume that they had a good working relationship in order for Dave to pay the bills for Craig. You never heard riffs you never heard tension because both these guys just don't have the Hollywood Diva Egos about them. Yeah, they're quirky and funny and interesting and a bit bizarre. But I think at the end of the day you could sit down with the two of them, enjoying an adult beverage, and you wouldn't know the difference between them and two CPAs, two Tradesmen, or two working Joes like you and me.

Who will be the next host of "The Late Late Show" after Craig Ferguson leaves?

Since CBS, and not David Letterman's Worldwide Pants (or Colbert) would be producing the show, the choices are wide open. The two biggest names thrown into speculation have been Chelsea Handler (who told Conan that she doesn't want to be on broadcast television, whether true or not) and Neil Patrick Harris (who isn't necessarily interested in trading in his acting career for a daily talk show). The funny thing is that Seth Meyers would be a better fit to follow Colbert than Fallon.CBS could also go a few months of guest hosts, like they did after Kilborn left.  Over time, they gave Craig Ferguson the job after being a guest host.  Another guest host from that era was Drew Carey.  It is possible that his work there led CBS to give him the hosting gig on "The Price is Right".There's also the possibility that CBS ends the Late Late Show, and gives the time back to affiliates.  It's at the bottom of network late night shows.  Even Jimmy Kimmel Live has gone ahead of it.  However, that's quite doubtful.

Who has been the best female guest on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson?

Kate Mara. The only one to counter Craig's little flirtations with some outrageous lines of her own. Love how Craig gets all flustered. :) Snake cup indeed.
