What is your review of Napoleon Dynamite (2004 movie)?

GREAT MOVIE, especially if you live in the area and see the real truth to what he directed, it would flip you over backwards. Hutt mentioned some great parts and the stereotypical parts of idaho, which (in the area where it was film) are right on in the movie and really true. There are people like Napolean, and his grandmother in these area and there are shiny face bright people who totally represented the “Mormon,” of a lower caliber in the country, portrayed in the movie. The first time I saw it, I was stumped and found articles where people spoke of him possibly being asperger, but this is not true. He is just in a bubble, within another bubble, deep inside another bubble and he thinks his reality as well as the characters realities are all there is. Stuck in a small town, never going to other big cities…etc.The chicken scene is right on, there are two chicken farms in the area and the way they ate the sandwiches and such is spot on, plus the stereotypical state of possible incest front the past (cousins marrying cousins) and bringing terrible looking children into the world. Or what society might considere “OFF TRACK.” Though the director tried to do it in the most innocent way, anyone with intelligence and residing in these parts can truly see the hidden and important agenda behind his message.Remember, Kip was the only one who escaped the bubbles and saw the real world outside of the dream state, first laid out by a certain religious institution. LolClassic movie, one of my favorite, because I reside in the area, I can roll out in laughter, especially when I see someone who reminds me of one of the characters portrayed in the movie.People always talk about wanting a sequel and the crew have said no, this is because you can’t make up what is truly alive and well. I’ve heard people or shall I say, many people say (about the town it took place in…Preston ID) EVERYONE is related in some way in Preston. Lol. But there are wonderful people in the area, there is just more to see in Napolean than many people will ever realize.
