Who won the epic battle between Jay-Z and Nas?

In my opinion NaS is by far the better rapper, Jay-Z has had a lot of commercial success and he has made good songs aswell but artistically for me NaS is way better. So I would chose NaS over Jay-Z not just based on the battle but the work of their whole careers, in fact I think Jay-Z is overrated. I don't think he's bad at all don't get me wrong but people rate him so highly it's insane. The Sauce (I know they suck) had him rated as the 4th best lyricists  of all time. WHAT!!!!!???? I don't think I'd even put him in the top 20. I would DEFINITELY not have him above Eminem. But NaS would make my top 5. That's just my opinion I think NaS is the better rapper but you should listen to both and decide for yourself they're both good. I've seen them both live twice but my camera ran out of battery before the Jay-Z concert(it was at a festival)and once I didn't bring my camera.  This is a picture I took at a NaS concert I was close to the front, got pretty lucky it looks very cool imo :).  This song is sick :)

Who would win in a rap battle between Eminem and Jay-Z?

It depends on what The battle is based on. Eminem is a good writer . Jay-Z is more of a spontaneous spitter. Eminem has a lot of ammo stacked up. But Jay-Z's spontaneous remarks, punchlines are far ahead of the curve. Jay-Z's Hot 97 freestyle. Pump it up freestyle and the recent We made it freestyle are all hot. So I wouldn't bet all of my fortune on Eminem if I were you. People looking at his recent albums that are all about "how rich I am compared to you" judge him to be a mediocre rapper. But give a listen to many of his older albums.

JAY-Z insulted NAS with FACTS in the diss pertaining to his FAILING CAREER whereas NAS insulted JAY-Z with playground insults like his LIPS WERE FAT and so on ,which i agree is funny but I PREFER MC’S WITH FACTS . HENCE JAY-Z

Who would win in a rap battle between Jay-Z and Ice Cube? (both are in their prime)

Cube. Hands down. I imagine this battle not be a URL/Smack 3 round fight, but rather a classic song vs song vs song back-and-forth over albums and radio. Let me explain my reasoning:Cube is a battle rapper. Don’t tell me he’s not. No Vaseline is almost universally lauded as the baddest knock out punch of any rap song. There’s been other battles, but No Vaseline ended that battle to the point where DJ Yella now says, all of NWA knew they were over. Ice Cube vs. B-Real. Ice Cube vs. Common. My memory is Westside Connection was the first West Coast group that was being played on New York radio in the time period of the 1994–1997 East Coast/West Coast war. That was Ice Cube saying “Bow Down” to the entire East Coast. That’s my memory.Jay-Z battled DMX, everyone says tie. Battled Big L, people say tie. Battled Nas - I say Nas won, you can have your vote. If you thing Jay won, it definitely wasn’t a “No Vaseline” level knock-out. GZA, was either a tie or “not a battle”. He had a chance to outshine Eminem on Renegade, didn’t. Jay-Z beat Busta Rhymes in High School, that’s a long time ago.I’m not saying Jay isn’t good, but as a battle rapper, in songs, the resume of his I know is Nas, which is a battle Jay started and lost. Cube didn’t start the NWA beef, and won. Jay Z has a great career, I don’t see him as being a dominant battle rapper based on records. Even Cube’s cypher with Run from a few years ago on BET would be better than a lot of these battle raps we hear nowadays.But I’m from the West Coast, so I might be biased.
