Why Are Aaa Batteries So Expensive

Why are AA batteries so expensive?

you can go into a corner store/deli and by a 2 pack for a buck something.. or drive to IKEA and get a pack of 10 for like 3 dollars..

Why are AA, AAA and other batteries so expensive to buy?

Most of the name brand (Energizer, Duracell) batteries sold at major retail stores cost about 50 cents to a dollar per battery in both AA and AAA and even C size depending on package size (number in the package). There’s seemingly a disconnect between battery size and cost - a AA has twice the energy of an AAA and a C has about twice the energy of a AA but they all cost about the same. What this really tells me is that the cost is not in the materials or the labor but in the endless promotion that these brands use to promote batteries on TV and in advertising elsewhere.Off brand batteries can be bought considerably cheaper but we don’t trust them as much to be either as powerful or not to leak as we are bombarded with the superiority of the name brands. That’s my thinking anyway as I consider my stacks of E and D brands in my battery box.But when you consider what they do for us, are they really that expensive?

Why are aaa batteries more expensive than aa batteries?

They aren't. Where are you from? A single use AA Everready battery costs Rs 11-12, and a AAA battery costs Rs 7-8. The AA battery stores upto 2500 mAh of charge, while the AAA has half of that. The price per unit charge for the AAA is higher, but the absolute price is lower.Fuck you Quorabot.

Lithium vs. Alkaline Batteries, What will last longer? They are in Universal Remote and Amazon Fire Stick? They both take AAA batteries?

I have a Fire Stick and a RCA - RCRPS06GR Universal Remote that I control 4 separate devices with. So i use it a lot. What type of batteries would last longest and be safe to use? Lithium or Alkaline Batteries? Thanks

Why do we still use AA and AAA batteries?

The formula of the content of AA and AAA batteries have changed over the years. But what has not changed is that A,AA,AAA,AAAA,B,C,D always deliver 1.5v. And you would be a fool to design a product larger then one of the above batteries formats that did not use some multiple of 1.5v or requires the enhanced characteristics of Li-polymer.If you want to see a AAAA battery pry apart a 9v battery there 6 inside. For a B cell look for really old Europeans radios and Russian products.

What are the differences between AA and AAA batteries? Why are AAA batteries a little more expensive than AA batteries even though they give the same output voltage and current ratio?

Hi, thanks for A2A.    The difference between AA and AAA battery:1. AAA battery is smaller in size than AA battery. Energy storing capacity is proportional to the size of the battery. So even both batteries could give same voltage, AA battery will give it that output for a long time. 2. Amount of current carrying through the battery vary in AA and AAA. Its like water flowing through the pipe. If you need more water to use, you will choose pipe with large dia. If you need it small water supply you will choose pipe with small dia. Like that, for tiny and small current required products, AAA battery is enough. AA battery will be chosen where they need little more supply than AAA can provide. 3.  Otherwise, both batteries supply the same voltage. Cost difference is due to the factor of supply and demand of AA and AAA batteries. Hope it helps!

Which aaa batteries are the best and worst?

energizer are the best, and no name brand are the worse. Typically, ur better of buying the most expensive batteries compared to the cheapest. The cheapest dont last so u endup spending just as much as u would on the more epensive batteries, which last way longer.
