What is a libertarian conservative?
Somewhat intelligent ppl that don't have enough common sense about politics to realize they are part of the reason republicans have complete control of the government; therefore, they are a disease that has infected our political system.
Are conservatives or liberals smarter?
I'm going to answer for my experiences in the UKWe have our two parties. Labour and Conservative. We have other parties but none have much chance. Anyway, weirdly enough both claim to be the socially liberal party but…Something I've noticed is that despite people believing labour to be the more liberal party (which it probably is), 99% of your stereotypical blue collar racists are labour voters. Which still shocks me. Pretty much every Tory voter I know is fairly intelligent and level headed while the labour voters are pretty irrational and if I'm honest, selfish voters who if you ask why they vote labour will explain with reference to their own lives while Tories talk about “for the good of the country” type reasons. In fact few Tory voters I know vote Conservative because they believe it's best for their country and probably won't even mention their own lives and needs. The closest thing to racism I've experienced from Tory voters is in the immediate aftermath of terrorist attacks when we get calls for a ban on Muslims, ban on the burka, even stricter gun control, border control, etc.But yeah. Socially conservative people tend to be pretty backwards people…not necessarily stupid but usually religious. Economic conservatives are some of the most articulate, intelligent, down to earth people I've met. Most economic liberals/labour voters are voting for their now immediate lives saying they need welfare so they'll vote labour. This is the only policy that sometimes matters to them. Sometimes it's who will help the NHS most, sometimes it's who will increase welfare payments the most or pensions or similar reasons. Neither is the “right” reason to vote since that's different per person. But most Tory voters I know tend to have a much better grasp on things than their liberal counterparts who spread such nonsense as we deserve terrorism for the Iraq war, socialism is the way forward, communism “isn't that bad”, capitalism is evil, Brexit is racist, Israel shouldn't be a country anymore, all military generals are war criminals, etc…and then they turn around and say foreigners all need to go. I'll be fair here, younger labour voters are more similar to democrats in America and are pretty global in their outlook, very liberal, very tolerant people while older labour voters are more like your stereotypical conservative
Why are there so many FAKE liberals?
Progressives took over the liberal name, because everyone hated progressives in the early to mid 1900s. They were obviously behind the communist and socialist movements in the US. They still are. The religious ones them came to the Republican party during and after Vietnam as the Democrats grew soft on the war. They became the neoconservatives that stole the word Conservative from true conservatives. Conservative does not mean religious or big Bush style goverment police states. You can tell some of these young liberals are not old enough to understand that the liberalism and conservatism they grew up under has nothing to do with the use of the words pre 1960s. They read books by liars and just repeat them.
POLITICS: Why is it considered "cool" to be a liberal?
Apparently you're "cool" nowadays if you're: -Democrat and liberal -vegetarian -environmental -homosexual -atheist OR Buddhist OR Muslim (basically anything that isn't Christian) -anti war -anti 2nd Amendment -anti FOX News -anti Israel Is this what liberals really are? Conservatives are the true American people.
Libertarian Christian Denomination?
I don't like conservative churches, they advocate for war on drug, and neo-conservatism. In addition, many conservative Christians thinks rock music, dacning, drinking are all sins; they make life VERY BORING! Progressives/ Christian lefts, on the otherhand advocates for socialism. I was repulsed by their advocacy for collectisim, and strong hatred toward the free market. They basically told me that wealth is evil, and I need to be poor and give all my wealth anyway. Just like conservatives, they think everything is sinful. I want a church that that supports, drinking, dancing, music, free-market, gay rights, gun rights...(Don't tell me to become an atheist, cuz I am not....)
