Fingernails turning yellow?!?
Usually if your finger nails start turning colors, or peeling, or they have striations (lines) in them its a sign of an underlying problem. For instance people with thyroid problems tend to have ridges and lines in their nail because of the disease.Or it could be something as simple as a nail fungus. I had a toenail fungus and my nails turned a nasty yellow and i had to get on a drug called lamisil for about 6 months. You can try home remedies like diluted bleach water, you can soak your toes in this for a 30 minutes a day and it will kill the fungus but it takes awhile. The meds for it can have nasty side affects though. Just google home remedies for nail fungus and you will have some tips and advice for it.

Why do my nails on one hand turn yellow?
Every time I come back to university my fingernails on my left hand turn yellow while my right hand is fine. I don't smoke, I don't use nail varnish and I basically have no idea why it keeps happening. I'm right handed so its not like I'm using my left hand for many activities that could stain them at all. My only logic as to why it would be my left hand is that blood from the heart if pumped to this side first so any crap it was carrying would be more likely to deposit there. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas would be great
