Hello! Since it's Valentine's Day, and I'm sure there are a ton of people crying to answerers on Yahoo Answers because they're alone, I decided to be pathetic and join them. I'm not one to complain or cry over stupid ****, but hey, since it's the loneliest day of the year, I might as well get all of this off my chest. First off, let me explain my situation. I'm 21 years old... I just turned 21 exactly one month ago. I've been pretty much avoided for a long time now, but I've never been quite sure why. Growing up, I was quite popular if I may say so myself. I take pride in that. However, when high school rolled around, people started to stop talking to me. I mean, I've always been pretty quiet, but I never was quiet to the point where people would decide it wasn't worth it to talk to me. But as I lost more and more friends for absolutely no reason at all, I pretty much forgot how to talk to people without sounding like a befuddled idiot. So now, I'm out of high school, and in college, and I thought things would get better once I entered college. But now it seems as if everyone I try to talk to thinks I'm some devil-worshiping sociopath or something! I don't even look or act like that! I'm in good shape, good hygiene, good grades... What the hell is my problem? I'm 5'12, but I doubt any one has gigantaphobia.. I'm quiet but I doubt anyone is afraid of quiet people... That's just ridiculous. I would seriously love your opinions on this. I keep thinking it's because I don't talk to people that well... Because whenever I try to talk to people, they either try to answer quickly or not answer at all. I look down at someone and you can see that they're uncomfortable. But I don't even do anything that can make them feel that way. I have one friend. The only friend who's stuck with me through high school. He says that I haven't changed much at all; and honestly I don't think so either... So I don't understand why people have to be afraid of me when obviously, at some point in my life, people actually enjoyed my company. What to hell is different now? Let me know. Thanks. So in other words, because you did/do martial arts you are now better than all other human beings? I don't know if you came on here to brag, but the tone of your question is very shocking. Let me tell you something, know matter how much you think you can "mop the floor" with people, or no matter how much you feel people have shunned you or are afraid of you, you still are: 1. A Starbucks going human being no better then anyone else. 2. Never learned respect and meekness. Martial arts don't make you something better than human, they make you a better human by learning respect and humbleness. Please, don't rant later. What do people's dress and hair have to do with you knowing martial arts? I don't know if you are just very cocky or have anger issues, but you need seriously learn how to be humble. The people on here who have been in martial arts since the 60's are about as humble and nice as can be. These younger generations.....
Why is my turtle afraid of me?
Thanks for the answers so far. Just to let you know by baby i mean little, he's only about 2 inches long. I got him because I wanted a turtle that could be with some other baby fish I had in my smaller tank (10g), and thought that once he got a little bit bigger, I'd move him to my 30 gallon tank, and then when he needed something bigger (and seperated from the fish he would eventually learn to eat) I'd just buy him his own tank, having money saved up by then. The person at the pet store said they are domestically bred now? I trust him because I'm personal friends with him but how come I keep seeing things that say people get most of the turtles from the wild?
