Is it just me or are people on Omegle video chat mean to everybody?
People are so mean on there. They call me ugly, old man(I'm 22), call me fat(which I am fat), pedo, they universally think I look like Jack Black, they rarely hold any conversation unless it's saying mean things. I'm a shy person I don't know how people other than my family act in the real world if I attempt to talk to them. Hopefully people aren't like this. I know there might be some people like that but I hope not the vast majority like it seems on omegle. I wanted to use omegle as a tool to help me come out of my shell but it has made me go in even further.
Why are there so many Turkish people on Chat roulette and Omegle?
They're so creepy and perverted. Sometimes I'll show a random video and they just stare with no reaction at all and it creeps me out a lot. Not to mention their English is horrible. They'll say "sex" when they want to see boobs. So I mean does anyone know why there is a ton of Turkish people on these sites.

It's easy to use a screen recorder... there are websites devoted to girls being told to do stuff on webcam and there's a lot of money in that kind of business. Remember you are recording yourselves digitally to send to omegle so by definition if you are underage you can be charged with child pornography and have to register as a sex offender like some young girls in the news. The chances that someone you know will see the video are very low statistically even if it was recorded and distributed. If her face is in it then that's trouble because as facial recognition gets better it my one day come up on a google image search of a separate pic of her... Use your brains kids... The guy gets all the benefit, what do you get... 5 min of attention then years of worrying if/when a video turns up. Edit: In all likelihood she'll be fine (the dude probably just wanted to get his rock off if you know what I mean). Just try not to mess up again, people prey on girls like you, easy targets.

I just used Omegle Video chat, where you chat with random strangers and see each other over a webcam, but now I'm freaking out!!! I mentioned my first name, age, and that I live in Northern California. Do you think I'm safe? Will my face go all over the internet? (It was just my face and sweatshirt). Will people be able to track me down? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY I'M REALLY SCARED!! :( Will this ruin future job applications for me or anything??

I discovered Omegle last and thought it was a great idea! Random video chat where you can meet people from all over, get to know their opinions, lifestyles, and views of the world. Sounded fun! Well, little did I know it'd be a bunch of 13 year old boys asking to see my **** and creepy older dudes jacking off. Not so fun... So my question is, are there other video chats sites where people actually use it to CHAT?!?!

When you first start your cam, yes they will be able to hear it. But if you roll over the box that displays you, you can mute your mic. Also, Omegle is very very VERY creepy. You will mostly find men pleasuring themselves on camera, and also people that will talk to you and be nice at first, but will get very mean when they ask you to remove your clothing and you refuse. Just a warning :)
