Why are celebrities so messed up?
First we have Tiger Woods, Then Charlie Sheen, Then Chris Brown. My question is DO I GIVE A DAMN about them? Of course not, they are degenerates who buy big McMansions in my state of California and drive the housing prices through the roof. They make the US as a whole look bad to the international community, you don't see movie/music stars in other countries acting this way. Lastly why is the news reporting on them? They should be reporting on Libya, or Illegal Immigration, Failing Schools or Japan or anything except celebrities.
People's attitude towards celebrities?
I would love to get some opinions about people's attitude towards celebrities. What shocks me the most is the blind devotion some people have towards someone who is famous, semi-famous (for ex. seen on tv like twice) and also (and this scares me the most) towards someone just simply related to the celebrity such as a sister, brother, husband, wife. I am asking this because on Twitter is like a chaos.. A constant "obsession" and "imploration" from these "fans"! I really think their attitude is tremendously pathetic and I guess they must have a pretty boring life if what really makes them feel alive and excited is a tweet rather than just a post from their "celebrities". I also want to be honest. I, just like my husband and many other honest people I know, personally work very hard in my life, and maybe what I do is everything but extraordinary! I am very proud of this and I live a honest life and earn my money with sweat and sacrifice. I kind of "envy" some of these so called "famous/ infamous" people who have enough money to maintain a charity organization by themselves, without even asking for external help. However, apparently no matter what they do, say or how they act, people will kiss their back unconditionally! WHY? I really do not get the point here! Some people prefer to support defend famous people just because!?! What it seems hard for them to get, though, is that these celebrities really have anything more than us, other that just more money. So what is it? They are just more powerful because they have more influence in the world in general? Why do some people allow them to feel so powerful though?? Why? They will never share nor get any kind of benefit from their power anyway... I have many more thoughts about this issue, but for now I would love to hear your opinion and try to figure what is wrong with them!
