Why Are The Tigers Referred To As A Bunch Of Old Veterans While They Talk About The Youngsters Who

Do German WWII living veterans regret the mass murder of Jews they did?

Not all German members of the military knew of the Holocaust.  The mass murder of Jews and other groups killed in the Holocaust was by and large handled by the Schutzstaffel (SS) a separate military unit outside of the German army.  People like General Johannes Blaskowitz were actually relieved of their command when the complained to the German high command about what the SS were up to.Not all German military members were innocent the Allies had secret listeners who bugged the Nazi POWs.  the bugging was the first time the British overheard admissions that the German army had taken part in the atrocities and mass killing of Jews and were guilty of war crimes."The army had always denied it and that was believed for the last 65 years. What the transcripts show us now is that the German army - with the SS - was complicit in war crimes," You probably mean:  Do the living Germans who took part in the Holocaust feel regret for the mass murder of Jews?Well first off there probably aren't that many left.  They would have at least been about 16 years old by 1945 when the war ended.  It's been 68 years since the 1945, so any surviving German member who took part in the Holocaust would be over 90 (in 2015).  Whenever a surviving guard is found living underground they usually deny that it was their fault and don't show regret.  They claim they were just following orders (The Holocaust pg 81), that they didn't work in the Jewish section (Read: Germany accuses Philadelphia man of being Nazi SS guard) or like John Demjanjuk was forced into his job.  (Read Five Years for Helping the SS: Holocaust Death Camp Guard Demjanjuk Found Guilty - SPIEGEL ONLINE)

Is it true that the first generation of Hell Angels members were WWII veterans? And why did they make this gang?

The legend is the group was started by WWII airman after the war. The motorcycle jacket is supposed to have been inspired by the leather Bomber jackets worn by crew members.Bomber Jacket. There were several styles of flight jackets. The Hells Angels were started on March 17, 1948, by the Bishop family, World War II veterans in Fontana, California followed by an amalgamation of former members from different motorcycle clubs, such as the Pissed Off Bastards of Bloomington. The Hells Angels' website denies the suggestion that any misfit or malcontent troops are connected with the motorcycle club. The website also notes that the name was suggested by Arvid Olsen, an associate of the founders, who had served in the Flying Tigers' "Hell's Angels" squadron in China during World War II.The name "Hell's Angels" was inspired by the typical naming of American squadrons, or other fighting groups, with a fierce, death-defying title in World Wars I and II, e.g., the Flying Tigers in Burma and China fielded three squadrons of P-40s and the third Squadron was called "Hell's Angels". Hells Angels - WikipediaThe origin of the name is lost but goes back at least to the famous Howard Hughes 1930 movie, Hell’s Angels. Hell's Angels (film) - WikipediaHells Angels is an international criminal enterprise with their fingers in many different pies, especially drugs. They deny any involvement with illegal activities saying they are a social club.Hells Angels typically ride Harley Davidsons. The Marlon Brando 1953 movie The Wild One about an outlaw motorcycle gang that terrorized a town is often associated with the Hells Angels. Johnny Strabler, the leader played by Marlon Brando, rode his personal bike, a Triumph Thunderbird, and the rest of the gang members, who were mostly real biker gang members hired as extras, rode an assortment of bikes but not one Harley. For all you 1980s party veterans, what were some popular drinking games of the day?

Oh boy, does that bring back memories...

Ping pong beer. small cups of beer placed on both sides of a ping pong table. The idea was not to score points but to hit the ping pong ball into an opponent's cup on the other side. If you got the ball in an opponents cup, he had to chug the cup of beer. A bit messy as the beer tends to splash all over the ping pong table. Better to cover in plastic to avoid damaging the ping pong table surface.

Quarters. bounce a quarter off the table into a shot glass or other small shallow container. you get to tell another player to take a shot.

We also had some goofy rules where you could not point with your hand or finger otherwise you had to drink and you could not say "drink". So we would off say "Consume!" while using an elbow to point.

Drink the worm: this wasn't so much a game as getting totally drunk... Buy a bottle of mezcal that has a worm in it. Everybody does shots until some body gets the worm in their glass and drinks the worm. In college there was a bar where you got a shirt that said you drank the worm.

If you do a web search for drinking games you can find lots of them.

Will the Indian veteran reinforcements @ Colombo be effective VS SL spin bowlers for 1st Test match 2008?

After an Ajantha Mendis debut (6-13) massacre onto Indian batsman at Karachi, Pakistan for Asia Cup final 2008.

It will now be Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman to come back & bat for India since, the Indian new talent played not good VS SL spin bowlers.

What are your thoughts of Indian veterans coming back?

What’s something that gets worse as you grow older?

My sense of hopelessness and helplessness in a world that seems to be going off the rails. It’s gotten to the point that I only hope I can make it to the Other Side just under the wire before the shit really hits the fan on this side. I don’t want to witness or suffer from tsunamis, mud slides, CA turning into a total wildfire, water and food shortages, the extinction of the honey bee, rioting in the streets and bloodbaths on the steps of Congress. I feel like my generation may be the last to have had the honor and privilege of living in the Garden of Eden, not that we did anything to deserve it. Quite the opposite, so…On behalf of all of us who have contributed to the uninhabitability of the planet for the younger generations to follow: My deepest sorrow and regret is offered in abject humility. We were wrong. We got practically nothing right. I pray somehow you will have the wisdom, sanity, and what’s left of our resources, to rise above selfish desires, and do everything you can to save our once-beautiful and bountiful home. And if you can’t, please DO NOT BRING MORE HUMAN LIFE ONTO THE PLANET.If it makes you feel better to look upon us with disgust and disdain, to wish to disengage yourselves from the very DNA that brought you here, you have every right. Do anything you’d like, just DON’T emulate us.Too ashamed to ask for forgiveness, I remain, Carol

Why is oklahoma state called the pokes?

Yeah.. cowpokes, or just pokes, is a term derived from the cowboy's job of herding cattle around in the enclosures.

Cows are herd animals and don't like to be separated from the others. The word poke refers to using a stick or pole or a cattle prod to jab the cows and encourage them to move in a certain direction or into a pen or corral, or maybe up the ramp onto a train cattle car or into a cattle truck. These days, the cattle prod is electrified to give the beasties a nice friendly jolt.

But for football teams, cowpokes or pokes are just nicknames for cowboys.

Are kids without tiger parents and helicopter parents at a disadvantage? Are they less likely to be successful?

First, tiger parents and helicopter parents are very different. A tiger parent pushes the child to succeed at all costs and be the best, the top, the highest scorer. They are hard on their children. A helicopter parent tries to smooth the way for the child, make excuses and manage his/her life, so the child has little experience fending for him/herself.In terms of your question, a lot depends on where the child is being raised. In a country like the USA, where independence is valued and children are raised to think and decide for themselves, then it’s actually a disadvantage to have parents who do everything for you, or parents who push you in directions that you don’t want.In a country where the group is valued over the individual (China, and other Asian countries, for example), it’s completely normal to have parents direct and make decisions for the child, whose only job is to succeed at school, get a degree the parents approve of, and earn a good living in order to contribute to the whole family. Those children grow up to lead their own family later on. Helicopter parents are not part of this picture.Helicopter parenting seems to have grown up in the USA. It’s not new; the widespread occurrence seems to have to do with a number of social changes over the last generation or two. (I am not a sociologist, I’m a teacher. Please correct me or elaborate if necessary.)Tiger parenting is a primarily Asian phenomenon, including Asians who live in Western countries. It fits their society. It’s not new. What’s hard is when one style of parenting appears in a different culture.
