Why Can I View My Nexus 7

Why can't my new Nexus 5 find my wifi?

I had the same issue while trying to setup the phone without having a SIM card installed. The problem was the missing SIM card!

Due to regulatory reasons Wifi's on Channel 12 and 13 are only allowed in Europe and Japan. As long as there is no SIM card installed which localizes the phone as an European/Japanese, no Wifis on channel 12 and 13 are shown. As soon as I installed my German SIM, all my networks on ch. 12 and 13 where visible again.

So you have two alternatives to fix that depending on where you are:
A.) Install a European/Japanese SIM card
B.) Change the channel of your Wifi to the value <=11

Why won’t my Nexus 7 update? I can’t update my Nexus 7 from 5.1.1 to the latest Android update that I think is 6.0.1. What can I do?

We're up to Android 9 now. Google stopped support for that device which is why it isn't updating any more. I have a strong preference for Android, but be this is one of the things that sucks about them.To your question about what you can do…the only option is to root it (you might have head the term jailbreak for iPhone--same thing…access to system does that are normally unavailable to the user for stability reasons). Once rooted, you can install other versions of Android on it. Developers have created a tool to root it easily for you, install a custom recovery (so you can make backups and restore if something bad happens), but there are a few options for “ROMs”—Android operating system images. You'll want to read a little in the forums to see which are the most stable. If you see the word “official” in the topic, it is likely to be pretty stable (i.e. bug free). If you see unofficial, then read to see if there's a “known issues” in the first post.https://forum.xda-developers.com...Please know that it's possible to make your device unusable and anything you do is at your own risk.

My Tablet Charge Up So Slow?

My Nexus 7 Tablet been charging up really slow lately. I turn the brightness all the way down on display, put it on after 15 seconds on inactivity, I turn off my WiFi so my applications won't be running in the background, I even turn my tablet off and keep it on charge all night. The next day when I turned it back on, the battery was still low. I'm like "What da f*uck. That really pissed me the f*ck off. Hell !! I even Factor Reset it and it's still charge up slow. I do have a shortage in my Nexus 7 charger that came with it. But I doubt is that the cause of it. Do any of you have same problem if you have a Nexus 7? What should I do?

Can you log out of the Gmail App on Nexus 7?

I haven't used a Nexus 7, but assuming that it's the same as a phone running Android version Jelly Bean (and previous Android versions), when you're logged into the user account on the device (and there's only one), you're logged into the associated online account at the same time: it's a personal device. There's some reports that Jelly Bean has some of the infrastructure to allow multiple user accounts on a single Android device [1], but it's not part of the software yet.[1] http://phandroid.com/2012/07/31/...

How do I check memory on nexus 7?

I am new to tablets. I was wondering how I can go in and check how much memory is left on my Nexus 7. If anyone know of a video that would be great, if not instructions would be very helpful as well.
Thanks.

What are the coolest things you can do with a Nexus 7?

As someone who uses quite a bit of public transit, I've found this to be the ideal travel companion. No more squinting at the small screen of my phone. While waiting for my first bus, I'll pair it up with my phone and use Bluetooth tethering for my Internet connection. Once seated, I'll start my reading:email: The larger screen allows me to read and reply that much faster.Feedly: Use this one to catch up on my news feeds. Now, some of them don't play nice, so I send them over to ...Pocket: When I can't view a post as one page in Feedly, I send it to Pocket. Much easier than jumping to the website, then jumping back. Also does a good job with multiple page articles, rendering them as one continuous page.Evernote: This is my central repository for stored info. I love the organization and search features.CloudMagic: This is connected to my Google, Evernote and Box accounts. Why? Because it finds stuff crazy fast. No more guess work. For longer trips, I'll always have some podcasts ready, a little bit of music, maybe a movie or two. In other words, my 2 year old smartphone won't need to be upgraded for quite some time.
