Why Cant I Rewind/fast Forward Blip Videos

What would happen if you tried to store a video game on VHS tape in order to play the game? Is it possible?

“What would happen if you tried to store a video game on VHS tape in order to play the game? Is it possible?I’ve never heard of a VHS cartridge, but tape is still used in computing.A quick Google search turned up HP 6.25 TB tape cartridges for about $40. That’s a lot of storage for that price because tape is usually used for backups. The reason tapes make sense for backups is they are read and written sequentially. This makes backing up easy because you don’t have to replicate the file system or anything from the disc in the backup. You just read out all the bytes of the disc sequentially when you back up, and write them that way when you restore. What you can’t do efficiently with tape is “random access.” Just like with a DVD where you can jump to any point in the film but with a VHS you have to fast forward or rewind through to get to what you want.Which makes tape very bad for games which is why it’s something that was used back in the 80’s before hard drives were available for home use. Those systems, you would load the entire tape into memory. Computers haven’t worked that way in a long time. You could probably jury rig something like this with a raspberry pi and a lot more electronics know how than I have. But why?

Why is the death of a U.S. Navy SEAL at the hands of the ISIS such a big deal?

The death of any service member is a BIG DEAL!Charles Keating is the man's name and he is the first reported and confirmed SEAL killed in action and the third US service member to be killed in action since 2014 when the US sent troops back into Iraq to fight against ISIS. While this may just be a flash on the nightly news for many Americans, it hits home pretty hard for service members and especially members with in the SEAL teams. It hits home hard to the average service member because we realize how strong the threat is. If ISIS can penetrate the Kurdish border and make it 5 or more kilometers past the front lines, then any US or Iraqi service members are vulnerable. It makes me scratch my head when I see a question like this because when a celebrity dies, no matter the cause, it gets reported repeatedly for days and sometimes a week or more. I get it, these celebrities entertained us, they provided us with beautiful music, comic relief, and many other things. Yet, when the people, like Charles Keating, who protect the freedoms of those who entertain and those who love the entertainment, are killed in action, the honoring of their actions and service is questioned as to why such a "big deal" is being made about it. NFL drafts, MLB trades, NBA scandals, and FIFA corruption get more press and become  a "big deal" far too often because those things are what sell the news. The vast majority of service members, and especially the Special Forces, DO NOT want the extra attention or the pomp and circumstance, they simply want to serve and take care of their families as any American would. They don't want their memorial or story around their death to be a "big deal," they just want to be sure their family is taken care of and to rest in peace.Fair winds and following seas to Charles Keating IV, thank you for your service and sacrifice. What are the worst video game levels/scenes you have experienced?

Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas.Mission name: Stowaway. There is this mission in San Andreas called Stowaway. It’s simple. All you need to do is chase an aeroplance with a Motorcycle during it’s take off and enter it’s ramp. It seemed a scene out of an action movie. But the only problem was that the Aeroplane was too quick for us to catch. Played the mission for about 100 times, and it seemed impossible. There was no way we were able to reach the ramp of the Aeroplane. This was time back in 2007–2008 where i had no access to Internet and there was probably no way to find a solution. Checked with couple of my friends and they were also stuck in the same mission. And after a week i gave up. I was so frustrated, i even thought of uninstalling the game after some days. After 2 weeks, one of my classmate was able to complete the mission in the 2nd try. I was confused. The aeroplane in his game was moving so slower. Then i realised noticed an importan factor which led to it, that was……“COMPUTER SCREEN RESOLUTION”His was a new computer and noticed that he was running his computer in lesser resolution than me. I went to my computer, set the resoltion to basic resolution 800x600, and i was able to complete the mission in one go. In fact i was able to reach the ramp of the aeroplane with lot of time remainingNever been so happier in my life.
