Why did all my email from the inbox suddenly disappear?
Same here, but I had over 10 million that appeared unread in various folders. Just be patient, because your emails are still there, they are just invisible, mine keep going from visible to invisible, so I know they are still there, however the 10 million have gone now. I thought someone had jacked my account, which had not ever happened in the more than 10 years that I have had it. Then, I just thought I was losing my mind, but it is definitely the geniuses at yahoo playing with our heads. Here's to crossing our fingers that it will be resolved shortly!

Why suddenly my group disappeared from my groups?
The same thing happened with my wife. If you do a search for "yahoo group disappeared" (I found this on Google but not Yahoo) you'll find other groups disappeared today 9/7/09. My wife started developing a new group for her high school class about a week ago and put a lot of time into it as well. Everything was fine with it yesterday but today she started getting emails and phonecalls from her classmates telling her that the group was gone. She went into her group management site and sure enough, the group was not listed. It's like it was never there. She emailed tech support (or submitted a trouble issue) but has not heard back from them. I suspect that Yahoo did something to their servers and some ignorant nitwit wiped out some groups. But what do you expect from a free service like Yahoo ... or Google ... or whoever. The only advice is to make sure you constantly download any user lists and other data so you can upload it again it when you have to rebuild your site. It's not a matter of the site crashing or disappearing but when it will happen to you..

A number of people are having this problem of entire blocks of e-mail vanishing Yahoo have no idea why. The number of people on here who lose important mail, photo's, document's et al is amazing. The first rule of computers is make a back up. The second is..another one. . Hard drives die, memory sticks die, mail goes missing, with 1 Tb drives at the price they are now it's not that expensive. Facebook will not dissappear, but some content you share there may get gone or be moved forever, like many youtube videos which I shared with my friends on facebook dissapeared from youtube only because I shared them. I wish I never shared them. Now thousands of dissapointed users propably course me and hate me. I remember happening to this to me a number of times until I actually realised it was me all along.Do you have an Android Phone? If yes, than that would be your main culprit. I have noticed that whenever I access my Gmail through the Android platform and if you mistakenly swipe (anywhere) left or right, the app would either archive or delete it according to your settings. That means if you haven't locked your phone (with a security code) and it ends up in your pocket or even randomly looked elsewhere (while paying attention to someone/something else) and your thumbs (which I presume you'd use on the touchscreen) have even slightly moved in such a direction, those would emails would 'disappear'. And the next thing you know, your cursing the hell out of Gmail.Other than that, if you don't have an Android phone, do check any other devices you may be using that would cause such a blunder.
