Why Did Oil On My Hair Make It Fall Out

Why is my hair falling out?

Don't worry. It's very normal to have hair loss after surgery. Anthesia does cause hair loss (who would've known?). It temporarily stops the hair growth cycle. All you can do for now is to try to keep it (your hair) healthy. Take vitamins, especially Vitamin E. Also, try not to pull your hair back in tight ponytails often because that causes hair loss too. Everything will be okay and your hair will correct itself soon enough!

Can baby oil make your hair fall out?

Why does Hair fall while applying oil?

you could be experiencing hair fall for a few reasons that may or may not be directly related to the hair oil. But if you are speaking about a hair and scalp oil that you apply directly to the scalp, then the below answer should help.First, at any one time you will have about 10-15% of your hair going through a part of  the hair phase that hair is no longer growing, becomes unattached from the follicle and is being pushed out to make room for a new hair. Sometimes, dead skin cells build up on your scalp creating a barrier and prevent the hair from actually falling away from the scalp. Then, when you wash or apply oil to the scalp it can remove that dead skin, lubricate the scalp and allow for the hair to come away from the scalp. That's why people tend to think they are losing more hair when they wash or apply scalp oils and treatments. these things don't actually make you lose more hair, (unless you are having an allergic reaction) they just allow for the already unattached hair to come away from scalp. If you are having a reaction to the oil and it is causing inflammation, than this could cause more hair loss. This would accompany itching, redness or irritation and if that's the case, stop using the oil.

Coconut oil makes my hair fall out. What other oil can I use to massage my hair?

Hair grow when they are given enough nourishment to sustain. Although, hair is just a protein strand, it also require regular feed of vitamins and other essentials. Massaging twice a week will regain whatever hair loses in the process of curling, ironing and chemical treatments. Oil acts as a replenishing agent. Can extra virgin olive oil make your hair fall out?

I have always heard that olive oil is very nourishing for hair, even when heated. I've had many hot oil treatments done at hair salons and never had any problem with substantial hair loss. I would suggest either trying a different kind of oil that is specifically sold for use on hair, or if you really want to use olive oil, try using it at room temperature. Maybe you were just nervous about trying it and freaked out a little when you saw a few hairs, even though it wasn't that much. I've done that many many times when trying new home beauty remedies.

Hope this helps!
