Why Didnt The Main Chacter In Angle Beats Go With Everyone Else

I watched Angel Beats! and I didn't cry?

Because you know what is going to happen and it depends on the person. Some people can cry easy and others not as much

Angel Beats! questions, please help?

1) They (the SSS) were fighting Angel because they thought that she might be a literal "angel" sent by God to keep watch over the Afterlife. Since the SSS's philosophy was to provoke and take revenge on God, who Yuri believed is the one responsible for all suffering in the living world, they fought Angel in attempt to "rebel" against God. It didn't help that Kanade didn't tell them the true purpose of the Afterlife, either.

2) Naoi Ayato (the "green haired guy") believed that, in order to prevent from disappearing, he needed to balance out his good deeds with bad ones. (The belief at that point was that those who were good students would eventually be "annihilated" - Naoi was the Student Council Vice President, so after school he would beat up some NPCs, just like how the SSS caused riots from time to time.) He slowly enacts a plan to take over the Afterlife (also attacking the SSS, who he believed to be a hindrance), in order to became God himself. It's never explained when/how he acquired those hypnotism abilities.

3) As shown in the OVA, Otonashi stayed in the Afterlife for a while, teaching newcomers the real reason of the Afterlife as the new Student Council President. He eventually passed on, as shown in the series epilogue.

4) Kanade had the "Angel Player" software on her computer that allowed her to manipulate things in the Afterlife, granting herself abilities like Hand Sonic. How or who created the Angel Player software isn't really explained, but one of the NPCs says that there was once a programmer who created the NPCs there.

5) The Guild is a group of people associated with SSS. After finding out that they could make weapons out of mud (another result of the "mysterious" programmer and physics of the Afterlife), those people decided to stay underground and create a weapon factory for the SSS to help combat Angel.

6) All the characters were in high school, so 14 to 18 years old, for the most part.

7) He was an artificial intelligence created by the programmer.

Can someone please explain the anime Angel Beats to me?

Uh, well, you see - you've only finished the first episode. ALL of your questions will be answered as the anime goes on, as shocking as that sounds.

Prepare yourself for tons of spoilers.

Otonashi [main guy] is dead. That's why he's in the afterlife. When he first spoke to Angel, he said he would go to a hospital. She told him that there were no hospitals becayse people didn't get sick as they were all dead. Otonashi says something like, "Prove it. If I'm dead, I can't die again." And so, Angel stabs him.

They're different from the rest of the school because they... how do I put it? They realize they're dead. They go against the norm [not attending classes, participating in sports, enjoying school life, etcetcetc.] There's a school in the afterlife because this specific afterlife is for those who weren't able to live out their adolescence properly, or to the fullest. NPCs are those who've died, but don't really realize they're dead. They just enjoy the school life, and once they feel fulfilled, they 'graduate' and leave.

The SSS believe she's connected to God, because she acts like an NPC but still remains there, and that's basically why the attack her. Angel isn't trying to kill the SSS, rather, she's only trying to defend herself.

WATCH THE REST OF IT. I promise you'll fall in love with it a hundred times more than you are now.

Am I the only one who didn't cry at AnoHana?

I think it depends on what type of person you actually are and how your reactions are.
Your statement saying that the characters are boring is your opinion but i found that they had their own individuality in it and each of their past are different and how i look at it from my prospective is obviously different.

I found this anime very beautiful even though it was short. It touched my heart deeply to find someone that wants to make a wish come true for someone that they didn't realize that they loved.

I actually found each episode getting tense as i actually see what happens. Maybe you didn't connect to them, fine by me but i felt the characters needs, the characters wants, and how free a character can feel when they've done good. It was a heart warming watch. Angel Beats was also a very memorable anime for me, for me i didn't see much development in the characters but a lot of them were out of place sometimes and i sometimes had a weird feeling about them ^^ However it was an awesome anime. Maybe i'm just a tad bit sensative ^^

And it's not about how emotional a anime gets you but if you enjoyed it or not. You found it boring and unmemorable but did you try to get to even understand it? Well maybe to you it's just another anime that's popular and needs a watch but the plot and everything was nicely planned out and easy to understand. But YES different people have different views.

*sorry i went on a bit xD*

In Angel Beats, Im a little bit confused. How did Kanade die? Timeline?Check details, there's more.?

We don't know how long Otonashi was in limbo for, consider that millions of people die every day, and that the entire "spirit" population of the limbo area where they were was only a couple of dozen, it's clear that it's not the only place that spirits go. Otonashi was also the odd-one-out, he didn't have any "regret" that he was meant to overcome - he didn't belong there (everyone else was a school student who had died tragically with some unfulfilled wish, Otonashi did not fit the profile).

Otonashi only became conscious / got his memories back at times that her was close to Kanade / his heart. It's possible that he died earlier, and his soul was drifting for a long time, but drawn to the heart. Perhaps he was unable to "pass over" whilst someone was holding onto a remnant of his heart from the previous life - i.e. Otonashi needed her to relinquish his heart to be reincarnated, but Kanade couldn't be reincarnated until she thanked the giver of the heart - a catch 22 situation where she'd be waiting in limbo as long as it took for his spirit to turn up.

I think that idea of a cosmic catch-22 makes the most sense - neither was able to move past their old life and reborn without the actions of the other one.

What happens after angel beats?

Technically, nothing……except, there is something. You see, in Japan, the show did extremely well. However, it was still cut from 24 episodes to 13, causing it to be rushed. Despite the success, the possible season 2 wasn’t ever made. Yes, you read that right, not “a” but “the”. You see, the reason Otonashi didn’t disappear is because the creators wanted to keep the possibility of this:In this clip, we see a segment of another student (who I will refer to as “Ed”) raging out about taking a test that he feels doesn’t matter. After an outburst that reveals that he and other students know that they’re all dead, Otonashi walks in. Here, there are 2 important details:They are all wearing the school uniform. Here, we see that there are no rebels fighting against the powers that be. This may seem small, but it’s important to 2.Otonashi is referred to as student president. From this we can infer that, as the only student left in the world, he took the role of leader. However, if he is still there, then he still holds a regret. What would that regret be?The same as Kanade’s, to help those that have fallen into the Afterlife to pass through and be reincarnated. This is seen in his monologue of Masami, Hinata, and Yuri, that he wishes to provide the solution to help the new students the same way those students were helped. Also, we see from the last episode’s epilogue that Otonashi does eventually find peace, being reincarnating and that he (dressed in a wasteland wanderer getup) is reunited with Kanade.(Oh, sorry, did I make you cry?)This really makes you think, where did we learn those tunes that pop up in our heads sometimes…But, I think it would be amazing to see a season 2 with a new main cast, starring Ed, with Otonashi in the background as the student president. Whatever happens, happens, as long as Otonashi disappears in the end.

Why would anyone prefer dub over sub when watching Anime?

The same reason I prefer sugar in my Tea:Watching subbed anime is too plain and boring.I have no interest in forcing myself to watch something “just because it’s the original” which is a childish excuse.I have my preferences, as does everybody who prefers dub.I started out watching dub, as did many, so it’s only natural.Making an extra effort to read subtitles while listening is no fun, and it DOES NOT make you anymore smarter, cooler, or more important. That’s a fallacy the majority of the anime community has deluded themselves into believing.I’m talking about anime fans who troll, disrespect others for watching dubs instead of subbed. As if the world shines out of their asses. Not everybody is interested in the Japanese language. Or at least not “listening” to it through entertainment. And that, like tea in my sugar, is a preference. NOT a criticism.Because some of us actually appreciate and have a deep level of respect for English voice actors and actresses. Unlike the arrogant, self-important assholes in the anime community who spit on them, as if English VA’s aren’t part of the reason why anime is SO BIG in the first place (internationally). And that includes Funimation and Crunchyroll too as they support it. Which is ironically the same 2 companies these “anime sub extremists” pay to stream anime online.Because it’s easier to relate to someone who speaks the same language as you?Etc, etc, etc.Why would anyone prefer sub over dub when watching anime? It’s the same question without the “stigma”.Preference.No different to how I like sugar in my Tea.And like sugar in my Tea, dubs make the experience sweeter. Thanks for asking Lee Wamo

How is Angel Beats sad?

*SPOILERS*

After watching Angel Beats and a lot of browsing, I found out that the scene where Hinata says that he'll marry Yui and she disappears is sad. Also, the scene where Otanashi and Kanade confess to each other and disappear is also sad. But I just don't get it. I mean, Yui and Kanade look like they're 12, and Hinata and Otanashi are in like high school. Everyone says it's so sad, and I feel just feel hardhearted because I didn't cry. I think Kanade's past is sad, but I didn't cry a river. Someone please explain to me... :(
