Why Do I Feel So Nervous When Nothing Is Wrong

How can I avoid feeling nervous for no reason?

Your question is about how can you AVOID feeling nervous for no reason. So first , people don’t usually feel anxious or nervous for no reason. This could be a couple things. You could have a generalized anxiety disorder whee you just walk around anxious without really being cognizant of what is making you feel that way . The best treatment is therapy and medication together. But usually not one without the other. The second thing it could be is you not being in the present moment. Just here me out. The minute we switch our thoughts out of the present moment and into the future we start worrying about what’s going to happen or not happen- Right. The minute we switch our thoughts into the past we start getting nervous and anxious about what we should of done better , would of , could of , should of…So the goal is to stay in the very present moment and if you think about it carefully there is absolutely nothing wrong. No anxiety.Howerer you said in your comment that you wanted to AVOID feeling nervous., does that mean you will go to a doctor , Im not sure what that means. In this day and age, the only way up is thru.

What's wrong with me? I feel scared and very nervous for no reason?

When you have a persistent emotion that is activated a lot it can start to get out of balance and just stay activated because it is used so often it decides to just stay kicked in.When you feel scared and nervous instead of trying to get it to go away and dodge it, sit with it. Go off by yourself and ask the emotions, “why are you so nervous?” Keep repeating the request over and over with your eyes closed and listen to what comes. Most likely a number of past situations will come to mind that are linked to your emotions of nervousness an being frightened. There are no wrong emotions, all of your emotions are there for a good reason. Talk with them and find out the reason. Most times in early childhood things happened that you have suppressed in you subconscious or reactive mind, that is where your emotions are stored. When we experience things that are traumatic we file them in the subconscious where they are not known directly by our conscious minds. It’s a way of the mind protecting us from unpleasant experiences.By taking the time to allow these emotions from the past to be heard and listened to you provide a safe environment for them to be refiled in the conscious mind where they will no longer have an emotional reactive response anymore. This is really a quire simple practice that works profoundly well. As you go through your past anxieties you will little by little break down these events which have linked together producing the big emotional response you are feeling. Once these are moved to the conscious mind your fear and anxiety will rebalance and lose it’s charge. You will know that this has been effective when you sit down and try to recall these past incidents and they no longer come to mind. It is as though they are gone and to some degree they are, they have been moved to another part of your brain, your conscious brain. This practice will work on any repeat negative emotion you have. I hate to use the term negative because emotions are really quite positive. They are all here to protect us in some way. Give this a try, it really does work. Why do I feel scared and nervous over simple things and how do I stop it?

That's called anxiety. It's really common and loads of people have it. So don't think you are odd or alone. You just stress alot and need some time to clear your head. You have worried thoughts. It could be due to lots of reasons. It may be because yor are afraid of getting judged ,or You may be afraid that people will think badly of you or that you won’t measure up in comparison to others. And even though you probably realize that your fears of being judged are at least somewhat irrational and overblown, you still can’t help feeling anxious. These cause sad or anxious feelings, and cause your body to release chemicals (for example adrenalin) which make you feel worse, and that makes you think more negatively, which causes you to release more chemicals, and on and on it goes. The body is designed to release those chemicals sometimes, but if you're worrying constantly they can build up to the point where they overwhelm you and everything seems terrifying and your hands starts sweating. So just relax and try not to focus on your negative thoughts. For example, if you‘re worried about an upcoming work presentation, the negative thought that could be coming to your mind is: “I’m going to blow it. Everyone will think I’m completely incompetent.”Then and then just stop. De-clutter your mind first. Try to think how you are going to start your presentation instead. Do a little POSITIVE self talk. Tell yourself that you will give your best. Drink water. Bring out the confidence. And yeah always SMILE. It reduces the tension.

Why do I feel nervous around my crush?

It's not just you. Most of us get nervous when our crushes are around. That's because we become self conscious in front of them. The constant thoughts of ‘how am I looking', 'Is my hair properly done', 'Is he/she looking', ‘what is he/she thinking about me.’ keep running in our mind which make us nervous. There's nothing wrong in it. Because somewhere down the line we want our crushes to like us back or even to notice us. But there's always a way to represent ourselves in front of people who make us nervous. Like whenever they're around, take a deep breath. Put a happy face (don't over smile) and show confidence, even if you don't have, fake one. Fake it till you make. Don't lose focus. Make your presence felt. Do it more often, eventually you'll feel confident than before when your crush is around. It worked for me, I hope it does for you too.

Why do people hate me even though I've done nothing wrong?

Because people are all ****s well, mostly, I think they shout insults at you etc because they think your deaf because you never speak to them. I have the same sort of problem because of 2 things: 1. I like cats 2. Because I have friends who are not well liked, like me, what you should do is go up to them a either be nice and find out why they don't like you the NICE way or give 'em hell and find out that way. Just try talking to them...

How can I not be so nervous when making speeches?

Almost everyone who goes up to do a speech will *ALSO* be nervous -- so don't be hard on yourself. I use to get so nervous that I had to hold on to something so I wouldn't shake!
Now, I am a "natural" at it, lol.

The best thing you can start off by doing is *really* knowing your topic. The better prepared you are, the less chance you have to make mistakes. So, preapre yourself and practice talking aloud to friends, family, or a mirror.

Keep it simple. Prepare numbered notecards that have KEY WORDS only. The keyword is a prompt to let you know in what order you will be talking about the subject. Again, number your cards in case you drop them.

Make sure you allot a certain time for each notecard. Maybe each notecard should be -- let's say --- 2 minutes worth of talking? A minute on the subject/area?

When you are going up there, never say "I"m nervous." Go up there, smile and say hello and introduce yourself in a friendly, smiling way. This is your notecard #1.

Your last notecard should be asking the class if they have any questions (if that is appropriate), and/or THANKING everyone for the opportunity to share with them.

I had trouble with keeping time, so I took a mini-clock up with me and put it on the desk, so that I didn't get nervous and talk to long.

Well, good luck and I know you will do great!

Why do I get anxious about nothing?

Anxiety is certainly not fun to deal with, and it is something everyone tends to experience at times. There can be a few explanations for why you might be feeling anxious:Biological triggers. Not getting enough sleep (or too much sleep), caffeine intake, poor diet, dehydration, and even low blood sugar can trigger anxiety. When our body isn’t in balance, it is very hard to regulate our emotional responses, breathing, and mindfulness. Make a commitment to get a full 8 hours of sleep, reduce your caffeine intake + hydrate and see if that makes a difference. You would be surprised at how just a small change can make a big difference.Boredom. Most of us associate anxiety with being overwhelmed by too much stimulation, but it can also be caused by a lack of it as well. Are you feeling mentally stimulated and curious on a daily basis? Are you feeling a little disenchanted with your daily life? Anxiety can often manifest when our intellectual needs are not being met, and can lead us to overthinking. “Try something new” is extremely over-used advice, but it could be very helpful in giving you an emotional refresh.Unsolved problems. Anxiety tends to crop up when we are procrastinating a big task, avoiding a difficult conversation, or stalling to get an action into plan. The idea of something in your head (even if you don’t realize it) can actually cause more stress than going through with it. Take a look at what needs to be done and try to cross some tasks off your list.Mental illness. You should not be ashamed for feeling anxious or depressed. You can take very good care of yourself and still battle mental illness. Reaching out for support here is a great step in seeking outside resources to deal with these feelings. If the steps above don’t seem to alleviate the anxiety you are experiencing, it is very important that you seek guidance so you can start feeling better again.Remember that anxiety and stress are all part of living an ambitious and meaningful life. You are not alone, and I wish you the best of luck in finding strategies that work for you!

Why do my hands hurt when i get nervous?

Same thing here, except I get a tingling/cramping feeling. It is because when you become nervous or scared, your body sends adrenaline into your nerves. (Humans have only an on and off switch for stress. The stress you feel when caught in a traffic jam is the same stress you feel when being chased by a bear.)
So, since these chemichals are pumping into your nervous system, they must go somewhere. There are a lot of nerve endings in your hands. Your hands are getting a signal, making them more agile and stronger in the case that they are required for fight or flight. No worries. :)
