Why Do I Have The Water Up My Nose Feeling

Water stuck in my nose feeling?

I have a cold.
I had one about two week ago and was just starting to get over it and I woke up last Sunday congested and since then have developed another cold. This time; my throat hurts (like a burning sensation) that did not happen last cold. Also when I blow my nose (or try to) it feels like my head is going to explode from the pressure and that feeling (and this is constant, but worse when I blow my nose) that you have when you get water up your nose.
I have never had that happen before... why does this happen?

Why do i feel like i inhaled water up my nose.?

I keep getting these head aches where i feel like i inhaled water up my nose. I haven't been swimming either. Its been the last month or so that i have been getting them. I'll be 26 weeks pregnant on Thursday. I feel like water went up my nose and it hurts behind my right eye. Maybe i'm wording it in my browser wrong but i cant find any answers online and i'm desperate. I have had migraines before but I've never felt like i inhaled water, accompanied by a throbbing headache behind my right eye. I have a Dr's appointment next week so id rather wait to go in but if anyone has any answers id appreciate it.

Why do I feel like I inhaled water up my nose?

My nose hurts on the right side. Feels like I inhaled water. It hurts in the roof of my mouth and somewhat in my throat. I don't have any congestion or runny nose or a cough or anything of that nature at all. I feel pretty normal besides my nose hurting.

Sinus infection?

Feels like water is in my nose?

It feels as if I went into a pool and got water up my nose. and the back of my throat feels kinda itchy.

Its very uncomfortable, i feel like I just want to cough it up but cant.

what is it? and how do i get rid of it?

and I do not have any allergies its been like this for about 2 weeks

Feels like sniffing water up my nose when running?

If it's starting to hurt, then sure. Actually, I know that people are always saying to breathe through your nose and out through your mouth.. but it's better to breathe through your mouth by itself. Why? Because your mouth takes in more oxygen, more oxygen means more energy to your muscles. If you want even more oxygen, start training to breathe through your belly. Breathing through your nose allows air to be filtered and warmed, but if you want straight oxygen, mouth respiration is the best way to go. Therefore, nose breathing is better WHEN POSSIBLE, but when running and you need that extra oxygen to climb that hill, mouth breathing is fine. This is why you see that "dead fish" look on some runners.

Actually, there are many disputes over which is better during running, nose breathing or mouth breathing, and you can probably decide for yourself if you google nose breathing vs. mouth breathing. Some people say to breathe through your mouth AND your nose.

Anyways, your problem. I have absolutely no idea why this problem is only occurring during cold weather. My guess is there are more pollutants in the air. Also, when it's cold out, mucus tends to build up and come up to the nose, clogging it. I'm sure you've noticed it - people don't have to be sick for their nose to suddenly start running when it's cold out (no pun intended.)

But I guess the whole main point of what I wrote was, it's OK to breathe through your mouth. So whatever you decide to do, don't think that it's wrong. Do what's right for you.

By the way, running since June, and a half marathon already? Pretty good job.

Why does it feel like i have water up my nose every time i bend over?

All of a sudden lately every time i bend over it feels like i got water up my nose just like when your in a pool and u get water up your nose. That awful burning and also painful headaches

Why does it hurt to get water up my nose, but if I have a running nose and I sniff it back up, it doesn't hurt?

Unscientifically: Your body’s fluids have a percentage of sodium (salt) and other ions that which are close to the same as it is within the cells, as well as the Ph (acidity). When water enters the nasal passages it can have a too high or too low amount of salt or Ph which will cause it to burn the sensitive membranes within.People commonly wash their sinuses using a Nettie pot, or a squeeze bottle, it does not burn or sting. The wash is just water, but there is a specific amount of additives that make the water the correct salinity and Ph. The additives usually come in a packet.

Why do I feel my nose burn like there’s water up my nose when there’s not?

There are 2 reasons for that. The nose acts like a funnel when there is an intake of air. If the air is warm it slightly contracts at the bridge, if the air is cold it slightly expands. The air temperature is regulated this way in order to feed into the lungs at a constant temperature.Maybe ( because I'm not an ENT specialist) it keeps the body temperature at a constant through the regulatory breath in/breath out process. Expellant air is warmer than intake because it is processed and warmed by the lungs at body temperature. ( like an air-conditioner!)The burning sensation is probably caused by excess of cold, warm or polluted air going in. The control systems at the apex of the funnel are overworked and the burning sensation is a trigger to warn you. The olfactory nerves are responding to a new stimuli.I hope this is right. If not I hope it is a good guess!Cheers. Now breathe easy.

Why do I feel a sharp pain when water goes inside my nose?

The salinity of freshwater is much lower than your body, so when water gets into your nose and into your sinuses, some of the cells that line the sinus and nasal cavities burst open and die because they rapidly suck in water - like overfilling awater balloon.Simplest possible reason

Why does it hurt to get pool water up your nose?

Most common is presence of chlorine and bacteria and viruses and fungi all can hurt the nose which has nerves and sinuses which get inflamed.
