Why Do I Weigh So Much But Have A Thin Body

Why do I weigh so much but not look fat?

Rowan is right, weighing a lot is not necessarily a bad thing. Particularly if you are a guy lifting super heavy weights and using performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Take Dywan Johnson, for example, he has been lifting heavy almost daily for about 20 years now, along with PEDs and you get a super heavy 6′5″, middle-aged man.Of course, you are almost a foot shorter, female, and “try” to work out 3–4 days a week, so I'm thinking not so much on the muscles thing. Even so, we are living in an age of alternative facts. You can believe whatever is most appealing to you. Thus, let's go with you being some kind of muscular mutation. Then, when seeing your bmi in the overweight range just think of super fit and “healthy” athletes using PEDs that have bmi’s in the obese range. Not sure you will find any in the morbidly obese range, but like I say, you have your choice of facts you want to believe. For serious athletes a body fat measurement is a better indication of fitness then BMI. However, I have seen several women get worse results (higher body fat estimates) from body analysis than from BMI. In fact, for 98% of women the BMI is an incredibly accurate estimation of body fat. So be prepared for similar, or possibly worse news after having your body fat tested. For that reason, few people with a high BMI have a body fat test done.Anyway, if you are happy with how you look, though it sounds like you might not be, then there is not much to worry about. I mean, for now you will probably feel healthy, until you don't. Strange how sudden disease, heart attack and the like can come on without warning. You might be running late on your way to work, then it happens. They never seem to come when we are just hanging out at the hospital.

Why do I weigh so much, but look so thin?

I'm 5'7 and I currently weigh 146 lbs.
I have an hour glass figure, and from what others say, I'm very thin/skinny.

The only exercise I do is in gym. It's nothing major. Some days we focus on the upper part of the body, and other days the lower part.
I know muscle can increase your weight, but I don't really notice any muscle.

So how can I weigh a lot, but look so thin?

How come i weigh more but look thinner?

I'm skinny, but weigh alot. Why?

Ok so I am about 5'2 and 1/2, but weigh about 130lbs. I wear a size 2 pants on occassion a 4 and usually a small or medium shirt. I work out alot. Most people guess me about 110 or 115. WHY DO I WEIGH between 125-130? It drives me crazy. I weighed 115 in 9th grade and I am in college now I wear the exact same sizes and they fit the exact same.

Why do I weigh so little but look so fat?

I am 5' 2" and I weigh 95, but I in no way feel like I am skinny or attractive. I have a bad flabby belly and my thighs are quite large. I want to flatten my belly but am afraid I will lose too much weight. I do not feel sexy at all, in fact I feel disgusting without or even with clothes on. I had my son almost three years ago and haven't worked out of anything afterwards, would that cause this? I just need help :( I want to feel and look sexy again.

Why do I look so fat but weigh so little?

you may be thinking something is bad when it is not.You also may be both underweight and overfat at the same time.BMI is an obsolete metric that really should not be used clinically. Unfortunately, many physicians do not have adequate training in quantitative methods to understand that point. The real metric instead of BMI to look at is Fat Free Mass Index, which is like BMI, but looks at fat free mass. You almost certainly have a low, fat free mass index, one low enough to be dangerous.Low fat-free mass as a marker of mortality in community-dwelling healthy elderly subjects †Other important metrics are body fat percentage. When you have low fat free mass index, it is easier to have higher body fat percentage. Anything over 30% is dangerous.Body fat percentage - WikipediaWaist hip ratio is a measure of distribution of fat. high levels of belly fat or visceral fat can be very dangerous even if your body fat percentage is not in the danger zone.Waist–hip ratio - WikipediaMy advice: read the literature as best you can. Find a qualified professional that can answer your questions and shows some familiarity with the literature. That may be a little hard to find. You’ll need to fine a non-traditional medical provider. I also suspect your makeup is a bit unusual.I am NOT a medical provider. My own read on the literature is that folks that have low fat free mass index and higher than optimal body fat percentage have the worse of both worlds and are at one of the highest risks for health problems. I don’ think that issue is getting anything like the attention is deserves.Lowering of muscle levels may be one the reasons some people that lose weight have trouble keeping it off.
