Why do so many liberals defend Islam?
I am very liberal. But I am so sick of liberals defending Islam and insisting it is a religion of peace. Why do so many liberals feel the need to defend a hateful and sadistic religion that its extremists openly say its goal is to restore the Islamic Caliphate?
Why do Liberals defend Islam when Islam is contrary to Liberalism in every way..?
The Left in Europe and North America have aligned with Islamic groups because they have a common enemy, Western Civilization and Christianity. Muslims want to replace Western Civilization with a worldwide Islamic government, the Caliphate, and lefties want to replace all Western governments with Communism. Of course, you are right that Muslims and left wingers have little in common, but stranger bedfellows than these groups have united against a common enemy.

They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class. The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy A broken government can't be fixed by the same government that broke it. @
Why do liberals defend and champion every sort of depravity and debauchery when it comes to Muslims or Atheist?
As an atheist I take exception to the implication that, by being an atheist, I am automatically accused of being depraved and a perpetrator of debauchery. You don't know me. Secondly, as a liberal, I am an equal opportunity defender of everyone's right to believe or not believe in whatever they want. When Muslims mistreat people, I decry that mistreatment. When Christians mistreat people, I decry that mistreatment. I don't make distinctions about mistreatment of children, women, people of other faiths, gays and lesbians, or anything else. Mistreatment is mistreatment and I find that hate and bigotry to be the real depravity and debauchery championed by some haters. I'm not sure where you got the idea that Josh Duggar is being attacked by liberals because of his childhood. He's in the news not for his childhood but for molesting girls as a teenager. And, if he were a liberal atheist, I bet his liberal atheism would be held up as the reason why he molested those girls.
Why do Liberals defend Islam when Islam is a far-right ideology?
Under Islamic law, there would be no Liberal rights whatsoever. Islam is a 7th century far-right belief system. It's incompatiable with Liberalism in every way from gay rights, womens rights, freedom of expression and speech etc. Yet, Liberals continually defend and apologize for this faith when it's the xonplete opposite of what they believe? Lol. Why is that?
Do any liberals worry that the blind defense of Muslims has cost them the moral high ground?
Okay so I am going to keep this simple. While I am no longer a Christian, I still happen to think the Bible is pretty killer. For all that people demonize it these days, I am a huge fan of the Old Testament. Isaiah and Ecclesiastes are easily two of my favorite works of literature ever, but I also love the books of Law. Sure, some of the laws are twisted by today’s standards, but so much of the blueprint for how to bring the best out of society is laid out as well. One of my personal favorite verses comes in the tenth chapter of Deuteronomy:For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.
