Why do people copy answers in Quora?

Writing takes a lot of thought and effort! I learned how to write from my 11th grade teacher, Mrs. Smith. It was the 1960’s, and she was five foot tall and about 100 years old, from my estimation at the time. She was also mean and demanding. She read through our compositions in September and announced to the class that we were going to spend the entire year learning how to write a composition. That was all we did, month after month.Every Friday, we turned in our best effort, and every Monday she would read the worst one aloud in class, critiquing it as she read. I remember that, because on one memorable Monday, it was my composition. Did I mention how mean she was? There were no names mentioned, but it was easy to tell whose paper it was because that person was trying to slide under the desk. However, when I went to college, I was one of the few people who did not have to take a remedial writing class. Hey, thanks, Mrs. Smith! But today, we live in a culture permeated by laziness. Who wants to make the effort when you can simply copy and paste and claim it as your own? When I taught, I constantly caught students plagiarizing. I’d simply copy and paste a suspicious sentence or two into Google to find it, or search my laptop, where I kept all the students’ work. The kids still insisted it was all original work, even down to using each other’s misspelled words. One student was so lazy that he copied and pasted something from Google, right down to an advertisement that was in the middle of it. He didn’t even bother to read what he submitted.I could turn it into the office, and nothing would be done. What I usually did was to give it a grade and then I’d let them both know that because they were sharing the work, I’d give each of them half of the points. 45% is still F’s for both. The cheating student was thrilled and the one who “shared” was usually cured from doing it again, at least in my class.I’m new to Quora, and am enjoying reading the questions and answers. When I write an answer, I usually think about it for an hour or two, and then take another thirty minutes to write it down and proof read it. Will there be those who copy what I write? I have no doubt. It’s sad, but even sadder is keeping all those great thoughts inside of you bottled up, for fear that someone will claim them as their own.

Why are you copying and pasting other people's answers here on Quora?

They are? Have you reported them? Or at the very least downvoted them?I'd tell you to send me the links and I'll report them for plagiarism, but my eyes and my 8″ Kindle screen can't quite handle trying to compare text.I get tempted to copy my own answers, when there are 10 questions that can't be merged and yet the same answer would serve them all.

Why do people copy and paste answers from their own or other's previous answers on Quora?

Why do people on Quora copy and paste the same answers repeatedly as if it were some sort of ad?In many instances, they ARE adverts. If they have a link, or an image with an email address, phone number, or mention something like “message me or look at my profile for details”, that’s an advert and is (whether posted once or copy-pasted multiple times) spam and can/should be reported as such. How does Quora define spam? What are the consequences of spamming on Quora? If the answer(s) are identical and do not have any business, personal, profit-driven or promotional intent, then they are (within the definition of Quora under the link above and the image below) considered to be “self-plagiarization spam” and can/should also be reported as such.

Why are Yahoo Users Copying People's Answers?

Why are people copying other people's answers on yahoo?

I chose a best answer the other day which was good and informative, and it was from an actual user.

Though after I chose best answer I've noticed someone after I chose it is copying and pasting that person's answer and using it to answer my question.

I also found in notification of these users copying the best answer word for word and using it to answer my question, and the times range from 2 hours ago to 7 hours ago of notifications, to a day ago

Who's doing that? Is it spam bots or people who can't think of for themselves?

Why do people sometimes copy each others answer on Quora?

Quora is just a relaxing platform like other social media platforms .Don't you share jokes or memes or posts on fb/watsapp…?It's just an answer copy and not anyone's science theory copy .!And what they share by copying is not going to get them a medal or a nobel prize..Suppose let's take an example of me …I m here basically for reading good stuff and sharing them too if I agree..…Simply ,Why to waste time answering something that has already been written by someone else …when you comment and crtize, it just shows how uncool and criticizing you are ,that you can get offenced easily even on a social media platform where everyone else just comes to relax and for fun.And even when it's not affecting you or your business in any way.. if you don't like ,simply leave or report…

Why do people copy other people's style?

Several reasons such as they admire what the see and want to fit into that ideal. Personally, I think it's just a lack of originality. Be yourself. Stop trying to fit into someone else's mold and create your own.
