Why Do People Hate Man Of Steel So Much

Why do people hate Superman?

As you can tell I am a Superman fan and have been a fan since I bought my first comic at 3 years old. I still have that same issue. I love Superman for a lot of reasons (too many to write) and he is my favorite hero. I just don't understand why people hate him.
I browse YouTube, Yahoo, and other sites and whenever Superman is involved I see A LOT of hate messages. I know there is hate towards everything but some go way over board and most don't make sense.
"f*** Superman! How can someone get hurt by a rock? It's stupid!"
"Superman's Gay!!! What idiot wears underwear on the outside of his pants and those colors are stupid!"
if you dislike Superman could you tell me why and give better reasons than the ones listed above.
Thanks.
Also don't say something like
"cause (insert name) can beat him so he sucks"

Why did I love "Man of Steel" when so many people were let down?

Because cinema is subjective.  It always has been and always will be, despite the critics and cinemaphiles that believe they have the ultimate objective viewpoint, Which they don't, and never will.  Spider-Man (2002) made $820 million worldwide.  I wasn't a fan.  I felt that beyond a somewhat entertaining first 30 minutes, the rest of it was terrible.Spider-Man 2 (2004) made $783 million worldwide as many heralded it as perhaps the best comic book movie ever made.  I hated it and felt that the special effects were as bad as they were in the first film, as was the casting of Tobey Maguire.  I worked at Sony when Maguire was almost replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal for this sequel.  I was damn near praying that Jake would get the role until Maguire came to his senses and re-signed.  I thought The Amazing Spider-Man finally got it right with amazing casting, excellent special effects and stunts, etc.  Yet many deem it as an unnecessary reboot while I believe it was a much needed one.The Dark Knight Rises made over $1 billion worldwide.  I thought it was a horrible and unfocused script and misfire from Nolan.  All of the right ingredients but just mixed with the wrong measurements... and with one glaring sulfur-like additive that had no business being in the mixing bowl in the first first (i.e. Catwoman).  Superman Returns made a lackluster $391 million worldwide and was panned by many fans.  I thought it was a brilliantly produced continuation of the original film with amazing production and character design.  It was flawed in respect to the terrible McGuffin of Luthor's realty scheme, but I felt it was a welcome return for the Man of Steel.Man of Steel made $662 million worldwide, yet many claim it to be a failure.  I thought it was amazing.  The perfect blend of the character within a The Dark Knight realistic world.  Although I could have done with the outright alien invasion factor that has now been drastically overdone in ALL superhero movies (The Avengers, Thor, Thor 2, etc.).     Cinema is subjective.  It always has been and always will be.  So don't give a damn what other people say about a film.  Judge for yourself and never question your own opinion... even in a subtle manner.

Why do people who hated Man of steel and Batman versus Superman end up liking Wonder Woman?

Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman had a complicated narrative structure and it did not have visceral action elements to make the movie “fun”. I personally hated Man of Steel on my first viewing because the action was so bizarre and I could not see a fucking thing. Then a couple of years passed and I watched Man of Steel a month or so before BVS released. It is actually a great film. It has its problems, yes, but the emotional upbringing of man who has the greatest powers but chooses not to use them intrigued me. Then I started Smallville TV series, and I got a knack of the character of Superman.Batman vs. Superman - Theatrical Edition was a mess. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, but some elements were not meshed well. There is a scene that I understand its “specialty” from an audience perspective, but it is pretty dumb from the perspective of the world in which these characters exist.Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent go to Lex’ s party. Remember the scene? These are Lex’s lines.Boys, ummm.. Bruce Wayne meets Clark Kent. Haa… I love it. I love bringing people together. How are we?I never understand why Bruce meeting Clark would be special for Bruce. We know that Clark is Superman, but Bruce Wayne does not know. Clark Kent is a normal guy who wants to be in the shadows to hide his superpowers. From the perspective established, Clark Kent is just a random journalist who happened to ask Bruce Wayne (not Batman) about vigilantism in Gotham. So, Lex likes bringing Bruce Wayne and random journalists together?Though some of the scenes like above piss me off, still I thought the extended version was better paced and had elements of story to fill in some plot holes.Wonder Woman was a very simple story whose extravaganza lied in its execution. It is a fish out of the water story which makes it very relatable to us, and the action is actually visceral. It does have some slo-mo shots, but it does not have distracting action scenes like Snyder way of filming where everything looks bloated. Diana Prince and Steve Trevor have great chemistry and the naiveness and the purity of the Diana makes us root for her. That’s is the reason why when ** SPOILERS** Steve dies, you actually feel the pain of Diana because you are there in the moment with them. But in the other movies, MOS and BVS, you are like a spectator watching a movie play by the beats and Wonder Woman has a clear motivation and cohesive structure in storytelling.

Why do people hate Superman?

Superman is boring. Literally one thing can kill him, and you can only get it if you’re rich, like Lex Luthor or Bruce Wayne, or the United States Military. Not even when Doomsday killed Supes in the comics he was really dead. I’m not sure I’d feel safe with this guy flying around my city. I mean, bullets literally bounce off the guys chest. Not only is Superman boring, but he’s dangerous. Unlike the Dragon Ball franchise, where the good guys move a battle to avoid damage to whatever city they’re in, Superman stays in Metropolis to fight. Normally, Superman’s fights will destroy almost the entire city, and people will still look up to the guy.One of the reasons I dislike the character is he tries to hard to be inspiring. He’s not inspiring because it is impossible to relate to him. Batman, on the other hand, is relatable. Unlike Superman, Batman actually risks his life fighting crime in Gotham. Also, we can relate to Batman because he know what it feels like to be completely alone in the world. Bruce was not only 8 when his parents where killed, but he saw the whole thing. it is possible for anyone can feel what Bruce felt growing up. No one can feel what Clark felt. Clark was a baby when Krypton blew up, and he had two parents on earth to take care of him when he arrived. The biggest thing I have against Superman is what happens in Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, in that Superman has finally sold himself out to the government. In the second half of the second part, I think, Superman is receiving orders from President Reagan to make Bruce retire as Batman again, and the entire final fight is Superman telling Batman to retire, and Batman saying why he won’t. This is the ultimate man vs god.In the end though, it comes down to personal preference. Some people will hate Superman because he is “stupid”. I find he hasn't a single good reason to fight crime, other than “crime is bad”

Why do people hate lana lang?

Do you hate her as a character or her? Is her character annoying or what i think its amusing to see superman a man of steel to have a non-physical kryptonite. She is Clark's Ultimate Kryptonite. But anyways, if you dont like Lana, does that mean that you wouldn't hit??? i mean she is fine as hell... am i right??

Why do people hate on DC COMICS?

Sure people can like marvel, but these days people just bash on dc comics heroes. I mean from what I heard, and this is just what I heard that marvel doesn't make any new heroes or characters anymore. Now sure, these days it's hard to make new ones, because they get compared to heroes like batman, superman, ironman, etc. SO why do people hate on dc comics, because in my opinion, dc comics has better heroes. (childhood) AND PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME that Marvel has stolen from dc comics now I do not know if that is true but I just heard it. No huge argument please

Why does everybody hate that Superman killed Zod in Man of Steel, when he saw that as his only option?

Because people grew with Superman being a beacon of hope for goodness. Thinking in Christopher Reeve's Superman, there wasn't space for something bad in Superman. The first time you see Superman is saving Lois Lane in the helicopter, and then doing some good stuff. But you don't see growth, he was a good teenager, his father died of a heart attack, and then, he went to the north pole, and learned more from Jor-El.But the thing is that no one becomes good or bad from the beginning. Is a process, learning, growth. That's the story of Henry Cavill's Superman. This is a Superman that had to learn the hard way how he can do good things with his abilities. He learned something with Martha and Jonathan, but he had to make moral choices, and with Zod, he had to choose, that was a choice he had to take in order to understand actions and consequences, and you see that he learned when he faced Batman and Lex Luthor. Now, what's the difference between killing Zod and killing Doomsday ? Why killing Doomsday wasn't as criticized as killing Zod ? Because Zod looks like a human ? Because Doomsday looks like a Monster ? Zod wanted to kill all humans and terraform Earth, while Doomsday only wanted to kill Superman ordered by Lex, who is the monster ? Make your choice
