Why Do The Videos Not Play Having Down Loaded The Flv Player

Realplayer won't play my downloaded videos?

keep the realplayer it is the best, but make sure you downloaded the latest version which is RealPlayer 11 GOLD, this version supports the FLV files , download it for free from :
www.real.com
Try this, right click on one of the video files
>Click on "Properties"
>open "General" tab
>Find "open with" and click "Change" button
>From this new dialog window choose "RealPlayer"from the list and click ok then ok again
>Now play the file again it should open with the Realplayer.
This will apply automatically to all the files, you don't have to do it for each file.

I downloaded an mp4 video onto my compaq, but it won't play. What type of file do I convert it into and where?

No FLV stands for Flash Video. And you don't need to convert the .mp4 file, just get a player like VLC Media Player (or I guess if you really want to you could get Quicktime for .mp4). VLC media player has a bunch of built in codecs that will be able to support almost any audio or video file format.
Get it from here, it is the official site http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Why does my flv video not work in my realplayer when i put it in my laptop?

it looks like you need to access to internet in order to get the codec for flv.

quote from real support forum:

"Hi,
Update your RealPlayer and it will download the latest codec that might help you to play the FLV file.

1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the Tools menu, then Check for Update:
- If the Message Center window appears, click Update to get the latest new version of RealPlayer.
- If the AutoUpdate window appears, scroll through the list, select RealPlayer or any plug-ins that you want to update, and click Install. Plug-ins will install automatically.
3. If prompts appear for additional steps, follow them for complete installation."

If you can't get online, you should probably get another player that already comes with the flv player. (K-Lite, Flv player,etc..)
You can download the player from other pc and transfer it to your laptop for installation. Hope it helps.

How do I get FLV videos to play in Opera?

I just set myself up a new computer and got Opera and Firefox. I downloaded Flash already, but for some reason, FLV videos aren't playing in my Opera browser - yet they play in Firefox. I didn't have this problem before on my older computer, so I'm wondering what the difference is now and what I have to do to get the videos working.

In particular, I'm talking about videos like this: http://animeready.com/senko-no-night-raid-7/

Any help is appreciated!

Eclipse MP3 player (model #T2800): Can't add or play videos?

I'm having trouble adding videos to my new Eclipse MP3 player, model T2800.

The manual says that it accepts the following video formats: FLV, WMV, and AVI (XVID). I used YouTube Downloader to convert a music video into each of these formats, but none of them work. Every time I send the music video to my player, it does not show up in the Videos app.

Is it because I'm using YouTube Downloader? If so, what else can I use to convert a video into an FLV, WMV or AVI?

Note: I do not need a downloading tool- I already have the videos downloaded. They are FLVs.

What I'm trying to ask is if my use of YouTube Downloader to convert the videos is messing up the videos and that's why they won't go on my player. If that is so the case, what other program can I use to convert videos? I also tried FormatFactory but the videos still ceased to appear on my player.
