I lov my cat :D i understand wht yur saying but i first i have to admit i never even liked cats i used hate them but wen my mom gotten me one i loved it , its a love tht yu cant explain its like loving yur dog but its a cat :p and do yu no the saying "never judge someone by its cover" yeaa i judge cats cuz of how they scary they looked and then turns out i love one of these creatures :D Hes my life :P!
Why do most men hate cats and women love them?
most men hate cats cause they like to cuddle and rub against you. They see this as being too feminist and it does not blend with their male ego. Women are so loving and just love cats cause the cat will come and cuddle against them and will show its appreciation to the woman when she holds it and pampers it.

Why do many single women like cats?
Easy: Cats have a lot going for them. First: They are independent creatures who can take care of themselves. (Compare this to keeping a dog!) This is very important because many single women have a job that keeps them away for quite some time. Second: They are soft and cuddly -if they have been well raised. (Which one should have an eye on BEFORE getting the cat. Otherwise one could experience really bad surprises...) Now that is important because women (like men ;)) like soft and cuddly beings. It's good for your soul to stroke a soft and cuddly creature at times. People who do that are healthier and live longer and happier lives. That is a proven fact. If you are in doubt about that I suggest you do some research. You'd be amazed! ;) Thirdly: Many single women (and men) somehow feel the need to have some kind of substitute for a child or a companion (or both) and therefore enjoy the company of a being which displays some form of sympathy or affection (love?) for them when they come home. It just gives you a warm feeling inside and a sense of being needed. That is what most human beings need to stay balanced and sane. (There are differences between people who prefer dogs to cats, but this is another story... ;))

Hi! There is no right or wrong answer, just an opinion. Men tend to like dogs better because they are simple and easy to understand. Also dogs are eager to please, interact more and guys' can walk, hunt or take a run with them. Men that hate cats, tend to also have crappy relationship with women and will never understand them ever. Cats are mysterious and it is often hard to figure out what they are thinking. A dog is pretty easy to get because they are obvious for the most part. So I think guys that do NOT get women, will also not like cats. Some guys say cats are sneaky and fickle like women where a dog is loyal and follows commands. I think that pretty much sums up why some guys do not like cats. I also think men do not like cats because they call the shots in the sex department. A female cat will PICK her mate, roll around to seduce him, mate and then tear his face off or bit his ears when she is done with him. Men do NOT get that the cat penis has barbs on it and actually simulates the female to ovulate, but it can also hurt her as well, hence the biting attack behavior afterwards. Also females mate with more than one male, hence multi-color kittens. I think that is what most guys really hate. IMHO. LOL

I think that it's more of being akin to feline behavior. Cats are very "sexual" beings...it's weird but it's true. It's the reason there's no "Catman" superhero... Cats, whether male or female, exude what defines femininity...

Hope this doesn't "rile too many feathers", but.......In my opinion..........men like animals that "fawn" over them (dogs, women, etc). Cats are too independent and men seem to be intimidated by that. Have you ever noticed that most men don't like "independent" women, either? Women appreciate that cats "do their own thing". I know people aren't going to agree with this, but as I said, this is MY OPINION, and I've been observing men (and women)f for over 65 years! I love cats and dogs, and my husband "tolerates" my cats! So......that's my opinion!

Hmm... never thought about it. I guess it comes down to what one sees as "masculine" qualities.But now that you brought this up and I've given it some thought over sipping my coffee; the guys that I have dated who own cats were more introverted and quiet vs the guys who owned dogs. This does not mean one was more masculine than the other.The dog owners were more outspoken, athletic and assertive. Intellectually they were equally intelligent. Cat owners more reserved.The dog owners were more outwardly expressive, more outwardly passionate and much more verbal; easier to read and engage with socially.With regard for the respect towards another person, I think this has much more to do with how we feel about ourselves and our own self esteem. I respected both types of men. I found both masculine in their own way.(I have a full happy busy engaged life but am a bit of a busy introvert although I do speak up... I don't like "mystery" in another person and find quiet introverts tedious and exhausting.)I preferred the dog owners and this has more to do with melding personalities; mine and theirs.I also prefer cats that behave socially like dogs and have lucked out with cats that want to engage, play and be with me 24/7 like a pooch.)
