Why Do You Think Juana And Kino Returned To The Town

What is the significance of Juana and Kino's walking side by side when they return to the town?

Omg, I thought the names sounded familiar...

Well, I did this in 8th grade...hmm...

They made long, tall, shadows showing their grief, but they walk together because they are united at the end and not separated because of the tragedy.

The pearl story help me please 10 points !!!!?

It reflects the way Kino himself feels about the pearl. He thinks it is the "greatest pearl in the world"-- it is the best thing that's ever happened to him. Juana and Coyotito aren't in the picture yet, but it will mean a good life and great wealth for them, thanks to Kino's work.

There is also a bit of foreshadowing in Steinbeck's description. "It captured the light... refined it... gave it back" could refer to the way Kino captures the pearl/light/wealth, has trouble with it, and eventually returns the pearl to the sea it came from.

The pearl by john steinbeck?

2. Kino hates the doctor because the doctor would not help Kino originally without money. Once Kino finds the pearl and may have wealth, the doctor comes around. The doctor is only a doctor for what it can get him in life, not for helping people get well.

3. Kino found the pearl in the sea. He is the one that the good or bad luck and music of the pearl is focused on. When he found the pearl, he thought it would bring him riches and cure his son and provide a future for himself and his family. However, his greed did not allow this to happen and a pearl can not change one's future. He had to learn this lesson and therefore, he has to be the one to throw the pearl back, to get rid of the supposed evil which has come from the pearl.

6. The music of the pearl changes because Kino changes. When he originally finds it, he has plans of how it will change his life: provide good clothes for his family, schooling for his son, and a rifle for him. When these things do not come about because he does not sell his pearl for as much as thinks he should get, then everything starts to go wrong. People try to steal the pearl. He and his wife run away because he kills someone trying to take the pearl. His boat is destroyed. And on and on. Once Kino gets rid of the pearl, things can get back to "normal."

7. Kino puts too much importance on an inanimate object as being his future. He feels the future rests upon his luck of finding the pearl. If he loses the pearl, he feels nothing he wants will come to be.

8. Tomas helps Kino, because Tomas is his older brother. That's what families do.

10. I believe it is very important that Juana and Kino walk back together. They are married and the good of finding the pearl led to so many evil things. They lost their son over the pearl. Juana early in the story tells Kino to get rid of it, that the pearl is not really good. He does not listen to her, but continues on in his own path. When they come back, they have lost everything and now hold on to what they have: each other.
