Why Does Facebook Not Show In My Internet History At All

Does your internet history show up on your verizon phone bill or is there anyway someone can see it?

No they cant..it will just show up as internet was accessed and how many kb were transferred in that session. They couldnt even call in to find that out thats like kids always asking if their parents can read their texts from the bill or get the info from the company, well they cant. Imagine if EVERY website and EVERY little thing anyone did on the internet on their phone was on the bill times that by the millions of people who are with verizon. And think of where all they would store that info, because that would be A LOT of info.

Can colleges look at your internet history?

No, that's silly. Your internet browsing history is stored locally (meaning, it is stored on your computer, and nowhere else). So, the only way for anyone to see your browsing history would be to use your computer.

As far as facebook and other social networking sites, they can only see the public parts of your profile. You can adjust what parts can be viewed by the public in the security settings.

I never commented on Google search history, or any search history at all. I only commented on your browsing history--the list of websites you have visited.

Does Facebook store my browsing history?

Yes, Facebook can access to your browsing history. I think you have noticed that when you open the Facebook page, you see some of the ads popping up and if you watch them carefully you will notice they are your recent browsed stuff, stuff you searched for on Amazon or any other sites. Have you ever wondered on how do they get this special interests of yours?. the answer is that when you install Facebook you are knowingly or unknowingly giving permission to access to your Browser history. If you want to stop them from collecting your browser history then read the below article I happen to read in this regard. You'll need to actively head over to the Digital Advertising Alliance here and let them know you're not willing to share.Note: if you're using AdBlocker Plus or anything else that disables cookies, you're going to need to turn that off before you'll be able to opt out.Once there, you'll see the above screen. Select the "Companies Customizing Ads for Your Browser" tab, and scroll down until you see Facebook.Click the little check box next to Facebook, and as long as you're here, feel free to scroll through and check off any other sites you'd like to stop forking over your most private internet deeds. Once you've clicked to your heart's content, hit "Submit."Now, considering how many of us also use the Facebook app, you're probably going to want to do the same for your mobile device(s). For iOS users, open settings and go to General>Restrictions>Advertising (under the "Privacy" section). Flip the switch for Limit Ad Tracking, and you're all set.If you're using Android, go to Google Settings>Ads>Opt Out of Interest-Based Ads, and that's it—you're free to browse in peace.Facebook advertisers won't be able to cater to you quite so creepily, and your privacy is left just that much more intact. Of course, that's not to say that Facebook's advertisers would do anything malicious with the data, but considering all that we do out on the internet's wild frontiers, better safe than regret later.Thank youReference How to Stop Facebook From Using Your Browsing History

Will my mom see my calls texts facetimes and Internet history?

So I kept researching this and people said that my parents can't see the actual text but they can see the person I was talking tos number. Can they see the person I called? Even if I FaceTime them?
Can they see my internet history? Even if I delete my browsing history? I'm getting my phone soon. Which is the iphone 5c and I don't want my parents to know I'm on facebook all the time and I'm facetiming my boyfriend- who my mom doesn't know. AND NO I'm not gonna tell her.
Oh and also, if I just use facebook to talk to my boyfriend and Skype to like see him, will my mom see that?
Thanks (:

Do colleges track your Internet history?

No, a college isn't going to look at what you are looking at on the internet.

Also, I don't think colleges have time to look at facebook pages either. Be careful though - once you start applying for interships or jobs your junior or senior year of college, employers will be running internet queries on you to see if there is anything negative or scandalous about you on the internet.

Does the search history appear on Facebook?

You can view you search history on Facebook by clicking the search toolbar. If you click edit you will then be able to see your full search history. If you are wondering if others can see your search history, the answer is no. Unless someone has access to your phone or laptop they will not be able to view your recent searches.

How does Facebook track user's browsing history to display ads?

Facebook doesn't/can't track your behavior on other websites such as Amazon. Rather, Facebook provides the means for those websites you visited earlier to show you ads on Facebook based on your browsing behavior on those non-Facebook sites. Here's what is happening:When you visit a site like Amazon, a cookie is dropped on your browser containing not just who you are, but info on what products you might be interested in (hence the books from your wish list showing up in ads later on).Amazon's display media partner will pass the unique identifier of your browser and the cookie data through to Facebook to see if you're browsing Facebook right now.If you're on Facebook right now, Amazon's display media partner can bid on your impression, and if they win the auction they will show you an ad tailored to your cookie data (i.e. they will show you an ad based on the products you viewed earlier on Amazon). There is a simple walk through on Business Insider that outlines the process: Understanding Facebook's FBX — Social Media's First Ad Exchange

Can people see your internet history after you deleted it?

Yes, deleting your internet history just deletes it from your browser, it still resides in your HDD. There are several ways of accessing them, either by command, or using a 3rd party software. Even if you formatted your hard disc, it's still possible to access the files, though it's a little bit more hard to do so. Your best bet is to use a complete delete tool, like CCleaner, to delete those files. A bit of an overkill, if you're not a trying to hide porn, or terrorist communication.

p/s : If you're using Chrome, there's an option of using the incognito window, which google claims does not keep track of any of your browsing history. Haven't tested it yet though, so not sure if it's 100% foolproof.
