Why Does It Say I Have The Wrong Debit Card Expiration Date

Debit card doesn't have expiration date on it?

I just got a debit card a few weeks ago and I noticed there is no expiration date on the front. This is problematic for me because I need the expiration date to buy things online. On top of that, I notice theres no Visa or Mastercard logo on the card, so a lot of stores won't even take it. Why is this?

Debit card expiration date?

Your card expires the end of the month. The bank will send you one usually within the last two weeks. If you don't get one by then, do not wait until the end of the month. Call your bank no later than the 15th
of September.

im trying to get food but i dont have my debit card but i know the number. the place im getting my food at is asking for my expiration date and i dont remember it. what happens if i put the wrong one in? will i still get my food? im starving.

Wrong credit card expiration date?

Im ordering some textbooks online for school and I accidentally put my credit card expiration date at 05/11 when its actually 03/11 will that cause a problem? I mean its not like the date passed or something.

Thanks =)

If you put the wrong credit card expiration date when ordering something online, will it still send?

No, the CC transaction will be declined. Some retailers will simply cancel the transaction; others will give you the opportunity to update your payment method.

EDIT
I should add that many web sites won't let you complete the transaction if you enter an expired card.

Johnny M: In order for it to be fraud, there would have to be reason to show the person was using an expired card for an account that was not theirs or that was no longer open. Otherwise, the person is simply trying to use an expired card for their own account. That is not fraud.

How do I know about the expiry date of my debit card?

You can use internet banking to check the expiry date, not sure about CVV no. I have tried this to enable MPIN for SBI UPI and it worked for me.e-Services->ATM Card Services->ATM PIN Generation->Profile Passwd/OTPYou can check the expiry date and then cancel changing of PIN.

Entered wrong expiration date on card?

i was using my credit card to make a purchase online and accidentally entered the wrong expiration, so I redid the order with the correct info. Will the store find out that they have incorrect info and cancel the faulty transaction themselves or do i need to let them know to cancel the first one?

By giving my debit card number, expiry date and CVV, can any site have access to my account? If I block that card and issued a new card then can they debit money from my account?

First, here’s some core information on this that I did some internet searching for, which will answer your basic questions;“The CVV Number ("Card Verification Value") on your credit card or debit card is a 3 digit number on VISA®, MasterCard® and Discover® branded credit and debit cards. On your American Express® branded credit or debit card it is a 4 digit numeric code.Your CVV number can be located by looking on your credit or debit card, as illustrated in the image below:Providing your CVV number to an online merchant proves that you actually have the physical credit or debit card - and helps to keep you safe while reducing fraud.CVV numbers are NOT your card's secret PIN (Personal Identification Number). You should never enter your PIN number when asked to provide your CVV. (PIN numbers allow you to use your credit or debit card at an ATM or when making an in-person purchase with your debit card or a cash advance with any credit card.)CVV numbers are also known as CSC numbers ("Card Security Code"), as well as CVV2 numbers, which are the same as CVV numbers, except that they have been generated by a 2nd generation process that makes them harder to "guess".”Now let me digress to a related subject that may be of help re; security; I only use Debit cards to take money out of an ATM, which also include foreign currency in a foreign country. However, Credit Cards are safer if you’re actually buying something as opposed to just retrieving cash from an ATM. The bill for a credit card purchase takes up to a month to process and when it clears (always have an on line account you can check as needed with any plastic card) you can contest it if it’s a false charge. Banks are very cooperative and favor the customer in these matters nearly always, as I know from many years of direct experience. As an aside, I believe a Credit card should only be used if you can pay off the balance each month, but that’s just me, most people practice otherwise and pay interest.
