Why does my Wifi work but my Ethernet doesn't work?? Att uverse?
No router configuration needed for Ethernet, It should work when you plug it in. This is assuming you have not changed the computer TCP/IP settings for the Ethernet adapter from the default of automatic IP addressing via DHCP. Most likely you have a bad cable or your Ethernet adapter in your computer is disabled or needs the proper drivers. If you are using a laptop, many systems disable the Ethernet adapter by default while running on battery power. Check device manager, and look under "network adapters" for LAN adapter. Good Luck...
How come my internet works but my cable doesnt?
Check the "input" on the TV. It might have gotten reset because the power was off. What are the "messages in the front?" I assume that you get your Internet through the cable too? I ask because some people have TV through cable and Internet through DSL. They do that because most DSL companies are many times more reliable than most cable companies. Additional: I should have been more clear in my question about the input. I am talking about the input setting in the setup of the TV, not the location of the cable. Just want to make sure that is what we both are talking about. Did you check the setting on the TV? Actually the input setting depends on what technique was used to connect the cable to the TV. I have seen a majority of cable boxes connected using the lowest quality connection. Most installers do that because it costs them less in parts and labor.
Wifi is not working?
So I ve had wifi trouble and my I phone and my PS4 are saying I am connected to the Internet, but whenever I use a app with them, it fails to work. I have reset my router multiple times. Reset my phone too and I still don t know what s up. Every so often though for a minute my wifi will turn on and work but not for long, anyone now a solution?
WiFi says i have full bars but no internet?
Completely randomly, all devices connected to WiFi have lost their internet connection. 2 iPads, a phone & 2 computers. Normally, we all are able to connect & have a fast internet. But now, we are allll having the same problem. All of us have full bars but no internet access. I have unplugged & plugged in the router.. that did nothing. So what can I do?
Wifi works on the computer but not on my iphone?
My Wifi works fine on my Computer, Xbox 360, and PS3. My IPhone says it's connected, but it's not working. I've tried resetting the network setting, forgetting the wifi then connecting, renewing the lease, restarting my phone, turning it on and off. Nothing seems to work. I'm desperate. Can somebody please help me? It's an IPhone 5 jailbroken for the past year and a half.
