Why Does Singapore Have Such A Low Unemployment Rate

Why does unemployment lead to low libido?

I have been unemployed for 9 months.

The first month or 2 I was actually happy. I didn't love my job but didn't have the balls to quit and so I thought being laid off was a door opening to a new career and possibilities.

Once I hit the 5 or 6 month mark I was really stressing - and still am.

Somewhere along the way I lost my libido and if I was single it wouldn't matter but I live with my fiance [5 year relationship] and I worry about the effect it has on him. We used to be much more active and now I'm never in the mood. I assume he takes care of himself - he doesn't pressure me but we've had the talk, it's not like he hasn't noticed.

I will sometimes just resort to giving him what he needs cause I shirk away from being involved in the act. If I did go all the way I'd be faking and I don't want to do that for him cause I'm sure he'd know. Plus I'm not even interested in putting forth the effort to fake! I just have no interest nowadays!

I don't know how to explain myself to anyone. I know a lot of people hit depression when they lose their jobs and that low libido is part of depression but I don't know that I would classify myself depressed.

I do cry, there are days when I want to shut the world out, there are days I feel hopeless and scared and angry and tired while looking for a job and going on interviews for jobs that I have yet to nab.

But there are days that I go to the movies, lunch with friends, I laugh and am hopeful that SOMETHING will come along and in those moments I don't feel like the people in the depression commercials but it's very rare that even on my best days that I want to have a roll in the hay.

But I want to and need to snap out of it. Will finding a job be the only way to get my libido back, cause in that case I'm really worried about if I will EVER get it back!

Near-zero rates of unemployment are not desirable because they often lead to?

b) increase in the cost of production

Near-zero rates of unemployment indicate that firms are operating at beyond the trend level of output. Firms compete for limited resources (labour) and so drive up the wage level. This causes an increase in the cost of production.
