Why Does Youtube Keep Changing My Video Quality

Why does YouTube keep changing my video quality?

For me it lowers it, i set it to 720p and it lowers it down. I think its becuz youtube thinks that ur internet is capable to control a 720p vid. For the lag thing try pausing it for a min or two in the beginning and then u should be good to go.

Why am I getting such bad quality while watching YouTube videos?

I'm a huge YouTube "addict". No, I'm not a crazy girl who fan girls over every YouTuber and watches for hours, but I do like YouTube. Anyways, recently, I have been noticing that some of the video series that I like to watch are in really bad quality .. For example, you don't need to watch this video, but iHasCupquake is posting this series called Cloud 9 and suddenly, I can only get a really low quality instead of HD, check it out: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y1hfDbOxXKE

Are you having the same problem? I only have the option of having the lowest quality (240p)
If you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem, that would be really great! Before, I was able to change the quality to HD. This problem really annoys me, and as you might see, it's harder for me to see and understand what's going on.

Anyways, thanks so much! I appreciate it! ^-^

Youtube randomly changing video quality?

It's youtube new method to keep your video streaming fast. It change depend on your connection speed, slow speed low quality but you get smooth video stream & vice versa. That's all. You can set it by yourself, it's not that hard. Only few mouse clicks bro.

When I'm watching YouTube videos, the video keeps randomly reloading. Why?

If you are experiencing either: A) slugglish loading
or buffering, B) that "spinning circle" looking like it
will keep on "spinning" forever, C) "choppy" videos
that start/stop/start/stop frequently, or D) vids that
sometimes come to a complete stop, maybe your
cache/memory is full and thus can't take anymore.

Exit out of YouTube (but not your browser) and do
one of the steps below. Afterwards, shutdown and
reboot. Not only will this "free up" your computer's
memory, everything will be "fresh", and load faster:

DON'T FORGET TO SHUT DOWN AND REBOOT
AFTER DOING ONE OF THE ABOVE.

If you have other applications which are running at
the same time (such as "Torrents"), they will slow
down YouTube also, so you may want to consider
uninstalling them altogether.
