Why Is Hiking Not Making My Thighs Smaller

HOW TO MAKE MY THIGHS SMALLER ? ?

Even though you cant lose weight on one body part, you can chose exercises to help tone and strengthen certain body parts. I dont know why people have to respond so snotty to questions. If you want to work on your thighs, you can climb stairs, run, leg lifts, do lunges and squats. Basically anything that moves that part of your body.

Does Shaking my legs make my legs (and thighs) slimmer?

I doubt it would do a lot. I read shaking legs means you're anxious or nervous :)

Anyway, another thing i read was that, if you suck your stomach in (and you can do that all day every day) that you can slim your stomach a bit more, because it's actually working out your abs. It's also important to do this with a straight back. I tried doing this, whilst sitting in school, boring lessons etc. and it really tires you out, so maybe it does work. I guess whenever you feel tired and a burning sensation in your muscles, that means you're working them out. So if that happens with shaking your legs, that means it does work.

I would recommend jogging/running though, even if it's light, only till you feel the exercise burn in your muscles, because i did this for like 10-20 mins a day, within 2-3 days i saw real improvement with my lower calf muscles, they were slimming.

It's important to stretch before such exercise, because otherwise you will get aches and pains everywhere afterwards, not very nice :(

Legs real tired and shaky during/after hiking?

During and after hiking, my legs feel really shaky and tired. For example, I reach a certain point and its as if my legs refuse to go on and they can't support me...if that makes sense. I feel like they're gonna come out from beneath me and I'll trip to a certain doom.

Maybe I'm not stretching enough? Not used to it? Is that a medical condition?

I get winded just like anyone else but I'm willing to go on...its just my legs. Everything else is fine.

If this helps, I'm 20 years old.

My little nephew and my sister are fine after hiking and they hike just as much or little as I do.

Will the elliptical machine help make my legs/thighs thinner?

Im not a huge fan of the elliptical trainer unless you are doing high intensity intervals. Prolonged cardio does not do much except keep you moving if you otherwise sit on the couch. If you do high intensity intervals and vary the resistance you should get more tone in your legs and glutes which should help over time. And as always, if you aren't combining exercise and diet there is not one “magical exercise” that will fix fat anywhere.

Will jumping rope make my legs thinner?

I want to lose weight in my thighs.. Will jumping rope help? Or will it add muscle to my legs and make them bigger? All in all I just want to know will my legs get skinnier even if I'm already thin

Will hiking make my butt get bigger?

hiking will do no such thing. If anything, hiking will slim you down and make all those muscles lean. But then again, you don't really have that much muscle on your butt. If anything, its more fat then muscle. Hiking will do wonders for that butt.

How do i make my thighs skinnier? HELP!?

Hi,

You have several hundred muscles in your leg, butt, hip, thigh and lower stomach area. The major problem is, not exercising these muscles correctly will make your trouble spots worse and more pronounced, while risking serious injury. However, the right exercises that use these muscles in harmony with each other can bring definite results without spending unrealistic amounts of time on ineffective exercises and risking long term set-backs. You don’t need access to a gym because this type of approach doesn’t require weights and machines.

You’ll make dramatic improvements in your worst trouble spots and most stubborn problem areas if you do simple, yet carefully structured, bodyweight exercises (no weights & no machines) which combine all three types of muscle movement: Concentric, Eccentric and Isometric. This is a crucial factor for man and women that cannot be addressed with typical weight and machine type exercise programs. The only way to combine these for maximum results and SAFETY is by focusing on bodyweight type exercises. Because its basically impossible to achieve this when using weights and machines.

I am a 5.7 and 25 years old and a month ago I weigh 147lbs although about a year ago I weighed 188lbs. I am not very happy with how I look, although I have slimmed down a lot, but I still look like I'm pregnant. My stomach is flabby, my butt is big and I just feel and look disgusting. I used to run on treadmill for 15-20 mins then do some stretching for 10 min and then workout for 30-40 mins and all this 7 days a week. But I just couldn’t reach my goal. It is enough to make anyone frustrated.

A month ago a friend introduced me a workout program. I was skeptical at first that this would work by itself. Targeted weight loss is quite tough, some would say impossible, but it definitely does produce results. I have lost 20 lbs in four weeks plus 3 inches from my stomach and even my legs are much more slimmer then before. If you are wondering that this program is too good to be true then get your FREE copy of ‘The Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh Enhancement e-Guide’ at the source below. You will not regret it! And your body will thank you for it.

Will running downhill make my thighs big?

Congratulations on taking the first important steps to better health and firmer body. Jogging will slim your thighs so don't worry about the uphill/downhill with regard to your thighs.

What you have to be careful with are your knees and back. Downhill can hurt them so you must always "coast" downhill as gingerly as possible to avoid the torque on the knees and the jarring of the spine.

Jogging uphill is much less stressful, but you should take shorter "choppier" steps on the uphill. You will not go uphill as fast, but try to maintain the same energy expenditure.

Jogging will make your thighs leaner and more muscular, not necessarily larger or bulkier. But, HEY, that's still better than flabby, RIGHT?

Frankly you have the best terrain to avoid boredom and make real progress. Remember to take special care to stretch properly and do shin strenghtening exercises to avoid shin splints. Good Luck

PS. Always run in the shade. Water at least every 20 minutes.
