Is my left eye getting lazy?

It doesn't help not really going outside and staying stuck inside on a phone so that could be your eyes just tired. As a person whose had a lazy eye since I was a year old,it's nothing to panic about! Yeah you might need glasses or contacts but depending on your age you can get laser treatment if you wanted! I'm sorry I'm gettin ahead of myself! Go to an eye specialist and they'll check your eyes out completely for you:) Your eyes are important so if you feel there is something wrong go get it check out! :) Hope I helped!

Feel like I'm getting a lazy eye?

I feel like the pupil in my left eye is drifting further away from the center of my eyeball compared to my right eye (which has stayed normal) but whoever I ask tells me they don't see it, but I swear I can see a little difference. I also feel like my ability to focus on one direct thing for a while is diminished. Any ideas?

Is my lazy eye genetic or not?

I have what is known as lazy eye or strabismus. But when I was born my eyes looked completely normal even in my school photo when I was 4. Although an eye test when I was six showed I had one weaker eye which was my right. Although it wouldn't apparent unless I played football for a half hour and my eye would turn in. As a result I done patching and all and now it really isn't apparent today apart from photos with a flash. I am self conscious and want to become a pilot but can't because I have binocular vision. I could an operation to change eye muscles but it wouldn't restore binocular vision. I heard good things about vision therapy but would it work? Also would my chances of gaining binocular vision be helped by the fact I didn't have a full turn in my eye from when I was born?

Feels like my eye is getting lazy?

hi, im 15 (in 3 days!) and i DO have a lazy eye (left). its called amblyopia. I am never aware of my eyes, whether they are crossing or one is looking a different way or whatever. I have like 20/8600 or something like that, really bad, in my left eye and 20/40 in my "good" eye. You have to do training to strengthen it back up. Since my eye is completely dead, I can't do those. I had to wear a patch for 4 years when I was little to try to strengthen it, but it didnt work. It probabyl will work for you since your probably isnt that bad. You can get a patch ANYWHERE, they are adhesive or just a patch like a pirate. Put it over your good eye and where it whenever you can. It'll help, trust me. Glasses MIGHT help. I have to wear glasses and they dont do anything. Ask your optometrist what he can do for you. And if you can, schedule an appt. with an opthamologist. They are more specialized and can really help you out.
I hate taking pictures because my eyes are never straight. It's bad. Your vision is probably getting worse with age, as is mine and everyone's else. You should wear glasses/contacts for you 20/30 vision.
schedule an appt. with someone and tell them your concerns. A lazy eye can get worse and worse and worse. You can eventaully become legally blind, and trust my words. IT IS NOT FUN. I may not be able to drive becuase of it):

good luck!

Do "lazy eyes" get worse over time?

A lazy eye does not send reliable information to the brain.Suppose, no matter where a person tried to look,  the good  eye faithfully sent of  the image but  the lazy eye just looked at  the nose. Over time, the brain would shut off the unreliable information and effectively "blind" the lazy eye. This condition (also called "strabismus" ) must be corrected at a young age to avoid a permanent, irreversible  weakness of vision in the lazy eye (called amblyopia ). The usual treatment  is to patch the good eye,  forcing the brain to set up connections with the lazy eye. (Of course the patch must be removed periodically so the good eye also gets sufficient use)Years ago, doctors would alternate the patch between the two eyes. But they discovered that, in order to develop depth perception, BOTH eyes mus talso  be used together.  So now they schedule patching to allow for all possible combinations

Can you get a lazy eye from being tired?

I sometimes get a lazy eye if im sleepy or if im staring at the tv too long . Like my left eye gets low, and I get a cock eye. Why would this happen to me? It is kind of embarassing to me. Is this normal?

Does a lazy eye go blind?

Vision therapy can help those with laze eyes, in which techniques will be implemented to "wake up" the eye that is lazy (the amblyopic eye). Prism can be given to align the eyes if that is the problem. The eye does not go blind, but it will suppress vision because either the image is too blurry in that eye or the eye is not lined up. This is our brain's way of keeping a clear image, using the good eye. Therapy can help to wake up the suppressing eye.
