HELP?!? My guinea pig making weird sounds!?

Ok I got a female guinea pig 4 weeks ago and this night at 4:30am she was making loud squeaky noises! And did it again at 5:30am and again at 6:30am! Help! I take really good care of her and when I ran to check on here she was next to her food bowl (She has food in it she also has Timothy Hey and water. And a hidey igloo) And her squeaky noises only lasted about maybe 15 seconds but after a while she does it again. Also I give her lots attention! Us she lonely at night? Because I'm getting another female guinea pig on this Friday. Sorry forgot to tell you it's my first time hearing that! And first time she did that. Please help and no mean comments!:)

Why is my guinea pig making a chewbacca sound?

its because they dont like a certain thing you are doing. i have 2 piggies and when they are happy they make their little sounds.. no way to really describe them but if its a rumbling kinda sound means they dont like to be touched a certain way. mine dont like their hair pet the opposite way it grows so they do that sound or if i touch their bellies, they dont like that

My guinea pig won't eat and is making weird sounds. What's wrong?

Guinea pigs have always been common prey for other large animals. For that reason, they have evolved to hide their pain and weaknesses. If they make any noise, limp or show distress, they will be an easy catch and sign for predators. They work hard to make sure that they hide their pain well. For that reason, it can be very important that you keep an eye on your guinea pig.

There are two ways in which you can recognise ill health in your guinea pig. It will either display clinical signs, or behavioural signs.

Clinical signs:

Discharge of liquid from the eyes or nostrils; dull, cloudy looking eyes; any form of swellings, sores, or abrasions; diarrhoea, constipation, blood-streaked urine; dry looking hair and skin; flaking of the skin; bald areas; visual signs of parasites or their presence (eggs, scurf, black specks); sneezing; coughing; laboured and noisy breathing; vomiting; slobbering; and any form of limping or the inability to move as normal.

Behavioural signs:

Lack of interest in food or water; excessive drinking; huddling in a corner when normally active; general lethargy; loss of weight; twitching; reluctance to being handled coupled with obvious pain when lifted; and excessive scratching. Indeed, any pattern of behaviour that you should be veiwed with suspicion.

Somtimes behavioural signs will be the only visual indicators of a problem. For this reason, it is important that you spend time observing your guinea pig when it is eating. You can establish whether it is a greedy or dainty eater, what foods are its favourites, and how often and how much it drinks.

My guinea pig is making weird pigeon sounds???????

My guinea pig use to make these noises too. It's completely normal.

Go to this website: http://www.jackiesguineapiggies.com/guin...

It'll explain all thoe noises guinea pigs make. My guess is that your guinea pig is either rumbling, purring, Chut/Chubble/Muttering, or chirping. You'll have to read the descriptions of each to determine which one it is!

My Guinea pig is making a weird sound. It sounds sort of like a duck. What does this mean?

I haven't heard that noise,but here's a couple sites that may help:

http://www.jackiesguineapiggies.com/guin...

http://www.mgpr.org/MGPR/Guinea%20Pig%20...

I hope that helps. Guinea Pigs make many noises,so instead of taking years to explain them all i gave you the sites, I he continues to make this noise that sounds nothing like the ones on the site, contact a vet as he could have a problem to do with his throat.xxx

My guinea pig makes this weird sound... like a cat purring kinda?

i had a cold around a couple of weekes ago. and when i sneezed.... my guinea pig made this weird purring sound. and when my cold got better i fake sneezed and he did the same thing. Is this bad or good???

Would my guinea pig be happy to hear other guinea pig sounds on Youtube or would it make it more lonely?

Is your guinea pig alone? If so, please do consider adopting a friend for it (of the same gender, unless it’s spayed or neutered) as guinea pigs are social animals and do a lot better with a companion of the same species. I have three girls and they’re a lot of fun to have together. Some of my guinea pigs react to other guinea pig noises from the computer, and others don’t respond. I think how your guinea pig responds depends on their personality and the noise they hear. If they hear another guinea pig in distress, that could make them stressed. If they’re territorial, they may be consider hearing another guinea pig to be a challenge to their turf. Most likely they’ll be curious or indifferent about the noises. I don’t think hearing the noises would affect whether or not it’s lonely—being alone will make it feel lonely.

My guinea pig is making weird noises. What do they mean?

My older guinea pig is sitting in the corner of her cage making a strange cooing noise. It is like the sound an owl makes but quieter. She does it at about the same pace of an average human heartbeat for period of 1-2 minutes. I have had her for over 5 years and have never heard this before.
What does this mean?

What does it mean when a guinea pig sounds like a dove?

It just means that she likes her, its natural she kinda purrs as well but all it means is that she is enjoying herself. After she gets to know you more she will do that to you too they can even whistle to get your attention, try to rub her neck right behind her ears but not too far into her stomach they like that spot, and she will start to make that noise with you!
