Why are all the major torrent sites down?

Using Torrent is not illegal, Torrent is a sharing software, and still its being used world wide.Though Using Torrent is legal, downloading copyrighted materials like, TV Shows, Movies, Software, Games etc not legalThose websites who were being allowing such copyrighted material on their portal are being sent DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) TakeDown take down notice to remove infringing content.Websites who promptly resolve this by removing the copyrighted material (e.g torrent for such material) and suspending user who uploaded that, are being still up.DMCA is act which runs like from Bottom to Top, claiming party informs DATA Center, datacenter will inform respective node owner, node owner will issue same notice to the portal owner and portal owner will take action against user who uploaded and remove the content, and the catch is, that data centers and their succeeders get immunity from law suite, when they suspend the user who is violating, else they will also be considered as partner in crimehence they will be like a good netizens follow the take down by bringing the node down or user down or the content down.this is main cause that most of the torrent sites are down, or forced to be down or forced to remove such materials which violates copyrights of any partiesthough like in india, many torrent sites are blocked by govt. which are running fine in rest of world, because, indian IT laws are decades below and being politically motivated, not following the proper protocolsthey are simply forcing ISPs to block access to websites, but still they can be accessed over from rest of the world and even using proxies you can access them.and last and most important Using torrent is not illegal, its 100% legal, no one can arrest you for using torrents or visiting torrent sites, or for downloading anything from torrent, but downloading and distributing copyrighted material is illegal.

Why doesn't the FBI just seize all of the websites with illegal activity on the deep web?

There are two main reasons, one technical and one operational.First, the technical. The deep/dark web is typically highly anonymised. Communication will be passing through multiple nodes with encryption and regular changes in path, making it hard to discover the machine hosting the content. Once you've found the machine you then have to work out who owns it and who is using it, possibly two entirely different people, as people may not be aware of the content they are hosting it or even be knowingly/willingly hosting it. You then have to work out where the machine is physically, and work with the local government to take it down. Not the easiest, particularly as unlike the surface (regular) web there is no central body handing out domain names and taking addresses at the same time. The second point is that there is a lot to gain by not taking something down. If you can infiltrate chat rooms you can find out what other members are up to, find out about other sites, and influence community opinion. If you can hack a hosting site you can use log files to try and trace users, and try and spread malware to users to reveal them. If users aren't careful and allow sites linked to (I.e. your hacked site) to find out what site directed the user there you could also uncover forums where users are sharing illegal content.Simply put it’s hard to take things down, and valuable to keep a few illegal sites.

Why is the Indian government's employee PF website down, or is there a new portal / link?

My writing may be biased but employee PF site is the lamest site that I have ever come across. They have two websites to make the experience unnecessarily complex. There is no proper intimation and acknowledgement.Do you need to change the credentials? Get ready to wait for days! In my case, it’s been 2 days after changing the credential and I am still unable to log in to see the passbook. The password needs to be changed in a site called ‘unified portal’ and the passbook needs to be viewed in other site. The tricky part is that it allows me to log in to the former but not the latter! It says that it needs 6 hours for the credentials to be updated (the heck it did not). It is really galling to use a website that doesn’t behave the way it is supposed to. Now, I’m on the horns of a dilemma as I’m not sure if the problem has to do with the passbook or the credential. There is a helpline number in the website and it always says line “busy” (We all know how busy government customer cares can be!). Email? I’m not sure whether the email that they have mentioned even exist for God’s sake. The mobile applications related to these websites are meretricious. I really want to beat the hell out of the project members who are involved in the development of such a gorgeous portal.

Why is the uptime of a website so important?

Uptime is very important because it means that your web hosting service is available. If your website is not available online then mostly this has a bad impact on your business. Customers cannot see your website so that you can also lose your business. You cannot send or get hold of emails. Maybe Google decides that your website is unreliable and this negatively affects your rating.Uptime is the measure of time that a server has remained up and run. This is generally recorded as a rate, as "99.9% uptime." Uptime is an incredible measure of how great a Web facilitating supplier is at keeping their frameworks up and running. But there are problems with grading a web host on uptime. The most serious issue with reviewing a host on their uptime is that you have no real way to freely confirm it. On the off chance that the host says they have 99.9% uptime, you need to trust them. But there is more to it. Uptime is quite often characterized as a percentage of the time. Be that as it may, a level of what percentage of the time? On the off chance that if X Web Hosting company has a 99% uptime, that implies they have a 1% downtime. Through the span of seven days, that would be 1 hour, 40 minutes, and 48 seconds that their server is down. For a year, that would imply that your server would be down as much as 87.36 hours for every year or more than 3 days.Uptime guarantees are not normally what you may think they are. Unless you're hosting agreement is altogether different from each other hosting agreement. When you are selecting the Web hosting service provider, look at their uptime guarantees, I prescribe just going with an organization that provides an ensured uptime of 99.9% or more. Most of the web hosting service providers offer 99% uptime guarantees.Top Web Hosting Companies, which provide a good uptime:1)BlueHost India2)BigRock3)HostingRaja4)GoDaddy India5)FatCow
