Why WWE divas not so popular as compared to WWE male stars?
WWE divas are not so popular simply because WWE doesn't invest time in them. At any given time only 1 storyline(or may be 2) involving Divas is under way compared to 5-10 storyline involving the superstars. Moreover, most of the divas matches are short and pointless.Essentially they are not given enough time and freedom to develop their personalities and connect with the audience and thus its unfair to expect the viewers to care for them.All these was supposed to change with the #DivasRevolution when 3 of the best divas of this era arrived on RAW from NXT, but it turns out that the RAW creative heads cannot write a decent divas storyline to save their lives and we are stuck with the same old problems.Although, there is still some hope left with Shasha Banks looking to be the next Divas champion, Becky Lynch playing her role perfectly and Bayley supposed to arrive on the scene just after Wrestlemania.
Is WWE Total Divas about the real lives of WWE Superstars or it is just scripted like the WWE itself?
It is a mixture of both. Total divas is about the life's of WWE divas and there day to day interactions. It's a reality show basically. No one likes to have there privacy disturbed at all points of time. Total divas was created with the intention to give divas more TV time as well as to map WWE in this field of entertainment too.It does follow the real life of superstars but it is also not possible to shoot everything in real time lest the expression's/emotions/locations aren't aesthetic enough for TV or not glamorous enough to be showcased.
How are the WWE matches scripted? Do the superstars practice the moves before the match or the sequence of moves that they need to do? How real are the injuries that WWE wrestlers suffer?
Before I explain the scripted nature of pro-wrestling matches I first have to explain how the larger machine works. WWE has a large team of writers who pitch matches, feuds, rivalries and storylines to Vincent McMahon who makes all the final decisions.The scripting process starts with determining the winner of said match and then the writers will work backwards writing a “script” for how the match should go (if there are specifics spots they want the wrestlers to do to further the story of the match like when Brock Lesnar busted Randy Orton’s head open at Summerslam).Each match has a booking agent or a producer who’s job is to make sure the wrestlers get the scripts and learn their lines if there are promos to be recited, the rest of the match is really in the hands of the wrestlers. Matches are like choreographed dances, you know what beats you need to hit (like how Cena will always do the two shoulder tackles, then the slam into the five knuckle shuffle) but there is always room for improvisation cause things are bound to go wrong (botched moves, accidents, injuries).Wrestlers that have worked together a lot are like good dance partners, they know each other’s move sets and ultimately can predict how the other can move which can make for really good counters. On the other hand there are wrestlers who have never worked together before and are put into big high profile matches (Roman Reigns and The Undertaker) and some rehearsals might be necessary. There was an infamous video that leaked back in 2000 of The Rock and HHH at an arena rehearsing spots for their 60 minute Iron Man Match at Judgement Day, now WWE has the Performance Center where they can do those rehearsals behind closed doors.Injuries are very real because even though the results are scripted the offensive maneuvers, although scaled back, are very much real. Because of the extreme nature of his wrestling style throughout his career, Edge injured his neck multiple times resulting in him being diagnosed with Cervical Spinal Stenosis which basically means that over time the bones in his spinal cord began compressing into each other so if he took one more bump through a table or fallen off a ladder he would’ve been paralyzed from the neck down. It’s the same injury that forced Stone Cold Steve Austin, and more recently Paige, to retire.
Whats your opinion on the eve torres heel turn + 6 BQ's?
The only reason she turned heel is because Kane - John Cena storyline which was a total mistake , and they did wrong by puting Zack Ryder in middle of feud and eventually costing him US. Title. As , for Eve , The Divas are same even as a heel or face , and I assumed taht she will turn heel , so I'm not surprised. She could maybe feud with Kelly Kelly , a face vs. heel feud. BQ : Yes , it's great idea for them because AirBoom is gone now , and Evan probably won't never return to WWE after suspension is over , and R-Truth should have finished his feud with The Miz a long time ago , because feud just doesn't makes any sense , and both would probably end up in MiTB match at WM28 which would likely take Kofi out of WM28 card. Both of them are flyiers , R-Truth has great mic skills , Kofi could work on his , their ring work is and should be great. And they could face Primo & Epico at WM28 for WWE Tag Team Titles. And , everybody knows that Tag Team Division in WWE is currently nothing , so Kofi & Truth could be replacement for AirBoom. BQ2 : Yes. BQ3 : I don't know , I'm not really anticipating that match so much , and I think that Rocky will win because WWE just can't let him lose in his own hometown , and he will be wrestling at SummerSlam 2012 , so it could be a rematch against Cena. BQ4 : Yes , I wanted this match ever since CM Punk proclaimed himself as Best In The World , every day , I was expecting that Jericho will return at WM28 , and after It Begins promos began , I knew that it would be Jericho. As for results , I see Chris Jericho winning the title , tough the rumors are saying that he's in WWE only until April - May , so it's a high chance that CM Punk maybe retains. Either way , it's gonna be one hell of a match. BQ5 : I would never think that this match is going to happen , but now , it's on They better make the match good , instead of making a sh!t of match. HIAC is Undertaker's ground , the match where he's the best , no one can top him , not even HHH. So , I see Undertaker keeping The Streak alive. My opinion , match of the night. BQ6 : I can see him going in feud for Tag Titles or even US Title and possibly winning it. But , Worl Titles , never.
