Do you think President Obama would have been impeached if he had done half the stuff Trump has done?
No one can really say what would have happened had Obama done the things Trump has done. But we can be fairly certain about two things. First, in the past, Republicans have initiated impeachment proceedings for far less than what Trump has done. Secondly, based on historical precedent, President Trump should be impeached.In 1998, Republicans impeached President Bill Clinton for trying to cover up an affair. To be fair to Republicans, even though their entire focus seemed to be about the affair itself, technically, the impeachment was about the cover up, not the affair. The American people saw it as a political persecution and Republicans paid a heavy political price.On the other hand, based on historical precedent, President Trump's actions would definitely be impeachable. Impeachment doesn't have to be about the President committing actual crimes. A President can commit what are called "high crimes", acts that would be otherwise legal but which represent misconduct for an elected official. The President lied to the American people about having ended the Trump Tower Moscow deal which compromised him with Russia at a time when Russia was working feverishly to get him elected. That may or may not represent a criminal act. But the President clearly did commit an illegal act by paying a porn star during the 2016 campaign to keep quiet about an affair. Even if those acts do not rise to the level of impeachable offenses, firing the Director of the FBI for investigating them clearly does. The President fired the director of the FBI, James Comey, forced out several career public servants in the Department Of Justice, supported a crazy conspiracy about there being a "deep state" in the DOJ, and claimed that the investigation into his misconduct was a "witch hunt". In attempting to cover up his own misconduct, the President has done enormous damage to the Department Of Justice.If the President is not impeached, it is a victory for politics over justice.

Clinton was impeached by the House in '98 and acquitted by the Senate. It was only the 2nd impeachment of a President in US history. If he had been honest about the whole thing, some people might have been butthurt but he would have avoided the impeachment process. As it stands, people are still upset that he perjured himself while holding the office of President of the United States of America.

No offense but why are people giving Obama such a hard time?
Especially white people. Saying he's the "worst" president, doing nothing to help us, etc. I don't see WHY people cannot understand the Bush and his father f*cked this country up together. It took them 16 years together to do so. We all know Bush was a horrible, horrible president and of course his dad was nothing but a jump start for that. Now that Obama is in the office trying to make things right, people are yapping at him expecting America, all the damage that those two created to change over night. It doesn't happen like that. Give the man some time to work things out, if you seriously expect a change in 2 years from a 16 year destruction, then you are crazy. It just doesn't match up. I don't know if people are really this stupid, or if this the KKK(tea party) way of trying to turn everyone against a black president, since it just kills them so much to see that a black man is actually running this country. sad, sad. Some might say that all black people voted for obama because he was black, but i sure didn't, I voted for him because I believe he can make a change, and I still do.

Obama is a failure at everything he does, not just trying to speak without his teleprompter. The man still has no idea how to turn the economy around, lower unemployment, deal with the terrorist threat, manage his administration (consider all of the scandals: Fast and Furious, Benghazi, spying on the AP and Fox News, eavesdropping on phone calls, collecting information from Google, Yahoo, Twitter, etc.), etc. He's a total and complete idiot, a first order screw-up. And the only reason we DON'T want him impeached and removed from office is that if he goes, that means Biden will become President. And as bad as Obama is, Biden would be 100 times worse!
