Why won't my laptop play youtube videos anymore?

Seemingly over night my laptop has decided it can't play youtube videos anymore. Youtube works perfectly fine on every other computer in the house and it was working fine on my laptop until about a week ago. When I click on a video instead of playing automatically like it normally would the video screen area is black with a play button in the middle. If I click on it, it says "An error occurred. Please try again later." I've tried enough times to know there's something weird going on. If I click on youtube video embedded in another site it has the same issue, except there's no error message, it just stays black and won't do anything. I also just noticed now that I can't get the video to play on another website which I don't think even uses youtube for it's videos. The only thing I could think might've been the issue was if my flash player was out of date but I just updated it and it still won't work.

Why are the videos on YouTube playing really quietly?

The first thing to know would be: Is it only on that video? If it is, then the creators of that video had made that video with horrible sound. If it is on all the videos you might want to try testing your volume on another website. If your sound plays fine, then you would want to check youtube settings, if not theres a problem that can’t really be explained on here. If the other website volume is the same as youtube, then it is an internet video player setting.

My laptop struggles to play videos on youtube at 480 and 720p, is there any settings I can alter . . .?

Most likely the problem is either that you have a old computer or your hard drive might be almost full. you could get an external hard drive. My hard drive was filling up, so i just put everything on an external hard drive and now it's not as slow because it has WAAAAAY more room!

Why isn't Google Chrome playing YouTube videos?

Because Google Chrome is tired of playing videos. Give it some time to breath. :P Just kidding.. I know that was lame. Anyway, it may not be playing videos because of the following reasons:Brower not updated - running an older version of browser that doesn't support flash and html5Adobe flash not installed or updatedBrowser settings has flash and java disabledInternet connection is too slow to load the videos (less likely a scenario, as you somehow managed to post on Quora using the same internet I assume)Graphic driver has crashed (offline videos will also not play, if this happened)So, try to figure out and let me know what the reason was. Also, send a screenshot if problem persists.

Youtube videos will not play on any browser?

You need a totally clean install of flash player.

Here's how:

Run the uninstaller and delete leftover folders. Link to download and instructions are here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/u...

Delete all old versions of Chrome (updating doesn't remove them or the old flash player components).

So also run Old Chrome Remover - download here:

http://singularlabs.com/community/topic/...

Then reboot your machine to flush the cache. (This step is very important).

Then start your browser and download then reinstall flash player. It should work.

If it doesn't work - search for instructions on how to set your browser's security settings back to default. Particularly settings for Active X controls.

Why i cannot browse youtube on my laptop?

you need adobe flash player ... install it into your webrowser.. just click on the non-functional video show on the browser, and you'll be transferred to a download site..

these will help you...

1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother, and re-install latest flash (the correct way).

get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...

OR..

2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.
Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.

Or you could watch it offline smoothly... try using 'zillatube' .

It works well - Just google search "zillatube" to get it.
