Why Was This Question Blocked From Here

Why did Quora block me from asking questions?

Why did Quora block me from asking questions?Judging from this particular question, you haven’t learned how to actually write one. You have to provide more than just a general question. But, given that I’ve seen this kind of question multiple times, I’m going to make some general guesses…You’re questions are improperly formatted, or don’t really ask a question. They may be rhetorical, or create too many assumptions. You’re a troll, and you’ve had a number of downvoted questions. They may violate BNBR.You’re hiding behind “anonymous” when writing inflammatory or trollish questions. Being anonymous only hides you from other users, but Quora moderators can see who you are.I’m betting you’re in the item 2 and 3 category. Writing trollish and mean spirited questions that have gotten you reported. Without samplings of your questions, though, I can’t really say for sure. But, I’m betting you’ve gotten at least one or two warnings from Quora moderators, and you decided to ignore them, which is why you’re now coming here asking this question under another account, which, judging by the “Quora User” placeholder, was flagged by the moderators as a fake name.

How does someone that you have blocked answer your question?

If you block a person, then that person can't message you. It's stupid when that blocked person sees your question and answers.

How do you block someone who keeps asking the same question just to annoy the Pokemon community here on Quora? I’ve tried going to his file and it doesn’t give me a block button.

You can block anyone, but it doesn’t do what you think it does. Blocking people keeps them from commenting on your posts or comments and from other ways of interacting with you.You can mute people, but that just stops their content from showing up in your feed.If a person is posting in ways that are deliberately annoying, the thing to do is report them for harassment. You can report individual posts and you can report individuals.

Why do rude Christians block people and then ask questions to the people they've blocked?

Is it so they can then take joy in their petty bull? I just comment in someone else's answer, or with a longer answer, I make a new question, because you know, if I'm going to put my fingers on the keyboard and leak out my genius online, I expect it to make it online. I never block anyone, I mean I would if they constantly messaged me ridiculous nonsense in personal messages, but you know, anybody who ever messaged me usually gave up after about two or three messages about some ridiculous nonsense, I sometimes replied, but it's not that sort of site where you're meant to do that. If you ask a question, the reasonable thing to do is let everyone answer, so you get a realistic cross section of what people in the real world think. I mean, when I ask questions, I want a small percentage of fundamentalist religious answers, even if I don't agree with them, it's so you get variety.

Why do blue face trolls post questions and block people? Why does YA allow this abuse?

Anonymous, FIRST, I had a picture here and for some reason YA got screwed up and dropped it and I haven't been able to add it back since, so your claim is silly. Second, the notable differences are my level 7 account and my Q&A being open for all to see. Meaning that you can track what I have said and use it against me any time.
Third, I am specifically talking about people who block AND post anonymously. IF you are posting anonymously, you don't need to worry about people stalking you.

Does Quora block my account when I ask more questions here?

No!Quora won't block your account for asking questions. You are free to ask questions. But, if you continuously ask unnecessary questions and A2A to specific person and if they feel annoyed, then they can report about you. And, you will get a warning from Quora to not do it again else you can get banned. So, keep asking questions!

How do I block relationship questions here on Quora?

up top of the question you’ll see categories. If you click on one it will take you to the page for that category. One that page there should be three dots … click on that and you can mute that catatory.AFAIK that just means that category won’t show up, but it won’t stop others. So if a question has a category of Relationships and Men and you don’t mute both you may still see it.

How do i know if i've been blocked?

Example--- If I've blocked you (not saying I have, but for example's sake....), when you're signed in, you can't look at any questions I've asked, or my profile.... You'd be able to look at questions I've asked if you're signed OUT, but if you sign in, you'd get a message like, "Sorry, you can't do this action at this time."... or something like it.

Does Quora block controversial questions?

No, I don’t think so.However, many questions asked here are not really questions seeking an answer, but statements disguised as questions. That kind of question is contrary to the rules of the site. And of course, questions need to be nice, and they need to be respectful. There are other constraints too.If “tweaking” means minor changes that don’t get rid of the problems in a question, then that will not constitute improvement. If you want your questions to be seen by people and get answers, in my experience of six years on Quora, here’s how to do it.Ask a question that you genuinely want to know the answer to.Phrase your question in neutral language. Phrase it in a way that demonstrates to readers that you genuinely want an answer and do not have an “axe to grind.” Of course you may have an opinion or an expectation in advance—we’re all human and we all have opinions. But leave your opinion out of the question. If you want to express an opinion, following the rules of the site—write it in an answer, not a question.Make your question both “nice” and “respectful”—no attacks on other people or groups of people included in the question.Leave some scope for answerers to interpret the question in their own way and you are much more likely to receive answers. For this reason, shorter questions may be better than longer ones. Lots of information in the question can make it so specific to a particular situation that not many readers have had similar experiences, and they will self-censor rather than answer.Check to make sure your question has not already been asked in the same or a slightly different form. Search before you ask.Assign a minimum of relevant topics to your question. Fewer topics is better than more. Adding irrelevant topics is bad strategy, in addition to being against the rules. If Quora gives you the option, ask some answer writers who have answered in your topic area before to answer your question. Frequent answer writers in a topic are much more likely to answer than random people on Quora.
