You apparrently got your numbers confused. The smaller number is usually the pain medication, the second number is general anti-inflamatory med ( asprin, tyelonol, ibuprophen etc.) Both meds are opioids and are very similar. Oxycodone is generally stronger than hydrocodone ( 5mg oxy is about the same as 7.5 of hydro). I say generally because people are different, some find that hydro works better for them than oxy, some fond it the other way. There are a lot of factors that enter, age weight and so on. Also the pain itself makes a difference( where it is, how painful it is, etc.) The best thing to do is talk to your prescribing doctor. They can easily make changes to give you the best relief.pp
How long after taking Oxycodone can you take Suboxone? Why is that waiting period recommended?
If you are not a regular opiate user and have no dependancy on them you may take a percocet or any opiate for that matter and take the suboxone immediately after or at any time after . If you are a regular user of opiates and percocet and you try to take it after taking one than you must wait ideally 24 hours as a rule of thumb.Yes there are those who dont have severe dependencies that can get away wit only waiting 12 to 18 hours and can start the suboxone with little to know problems but this is a very sensitive issue and I would highly recommend never starting under 24 hours and even then never start with more than 2 mg. Wait for one hour and if the 2mgs didn't make the withdrawal worse than take 2 more mg. If you feel relief and need more than take the other 4 mg and wait 2 more hours to see if that is enough.Also there are those who start suboxone that are not completely committed to taking it and who still crave heroin and opiates like percocet who will use the suboxone in the am than wait till eve when its worn off slightly and also take the percocet on top of it. If this happens you can take the suboxone again without issue but if you take the percocet more than just that one time and than try to take the suboxone it will throw you into immediate withdrawal and a very extreme case of it just like not waiting the whole 24 hours has the potential to do to you.I want to also add that there is a myth that subutex will not cause this the same way the suboxone does since it lacks the naloxone that suboxone has in it. This is false. It is not the naloxone that causes the effect. Whats an Oxycodone high like?
Yeah i have 1 Oxycodone Acetaminophen 7.5-325 mg tablet i think it is, i was wondering if i took that what would i feel like, on the pill bottle it says serve pain relief, would i just be in a like a couch lock? and i heard you arent supposed to snort oxycodone, just percs? Any help would be great and donut talk to me about rehab Jesus people i know what to do and i know not to get out of control with this, its a one time thing even if i like it.
What the most Oxycodone (mg's) you've heard of someone being prescribed for pain (daily usage)?
My new doctor has me taking 40mg Oxycontin 4x daily (160mg daily) AND 40mg Oxycodone IR EVERY 3-4 hours if needed for SEVERE spine injury. Is potentially several hundred MG's of Oxycodone non-lethal if you have a tolerance? I've been on opiods for 10 years now, so I do have a tolerance. I was previously taking Methadone and Oxycodone but this is what my new doc put me on. Oh and if you're one of those idiots who want to bash people for having to take pain meds to live a normal life - DON'T bother responding with your BS!!!
What happens if I cut in half a time release oxycodone???
Here is what the paper packed with it says "TAKING BROKEN, CHEWED, OR CRUSHED OXYCODONE HYDROCHLORIDE EXTENDED-RELEASE TABLETS LEADS TO RAPID RELEASE AND ABSORPTION OF A POTENTIALLY FATAL DOSE OF OXYCODONE." That would convince me it is a bad idea.
If I were to "Chew" 10mg Percocet instead of swallowing it whole what will be the difference?
The difference would be negligible. Percocet has no time-release mechanism like OxyContin, all of the oxycodone is released as soon as the pill is dissolved. Chewing it will make a slight difference, but pills dissolve in your stomach in just a few minutes anyways. You're going to have to deal that bitter taste from chewing the tablets, and all you will get in return is at most, maybe a 5 minute earlier onset of effects. Not worth it IMO. I'm not going to go into the negative effects of using opioids like Percocet recreationally. You already know the dangers of tolerance, dependence, and addiction. That said, I don't know how much Percocet you take, but be careful with the amount of acetaminophen you take. 4,000mg is the maximum daily recommended dose. Single dose, I wouldn't go over 1500-2000mg. With the amount of tolerance you can build up over a very short time, you can easily be getting close to the recommended limit. If this happens, a cold water extraction (or a move to Roxicodone, which is just oxycodone without the acetaminophen) is highly recommended. For reference, 10mg Percocet tablets contain either 325mg or 650mg of acetaminophen (there are two different formulations). Find out which ones you have and be sure to stay under the limits for acetaminophen.

Will one Watson 749 pill get you high for the first time?

A first time Opiate (pain killer drug) user would probably get high off 10mg of oxycodone. So... You'll need two of those white round pills. 15mgs would get high for sure. 20mgs will hit you hard for sure. I wouldn't advise anything over 30mg for first time users. Keep in mind that each pill contains 325mg of acetaminophen and someone shouldn't take more than 1000mgs of that in a dosage. And if you consume 4 grams (4000mgs) of acetaminophen it's considered liver toxicity. Tylenol overdose or whatever. And idk how much you've learned in health class, anatomy and physiology, but your liver is very important. That's why the best pill are OxyContin! Pure oxycodone!
